Formalin-MS 16 oz

I bought this because for some reason buying actual bottles of formaldehyde is much more expensive than the same thing but under a different label. I use it for as a fixative for preserving specimens before having them submerged in some type of alcohol, and it works like a charm. Remember to dilute it with water to 10% because full strength is a little bit much and unnecessary. Make sure to have good ventilation when using the stuff because the fume it gives off can be very irritating to the eyes, nostrils and lungs and can even cause a burning sensation (it is quite toxic if one haven't figured it out already. Great at killing bacteria which is why it's used in embalming as well). So, get a bottle and have at it!

This product does what we bought it for. It, when placed in an open container in an enclosed space, kills mold. Really kills it. I have serious difficulty with mold and appreciate the effectiveness of this product.
