Roku Makes Older TVs Smart. American Apps Right In Your Hands & Connects to Phone
After FlipKart shipped the wrong TV and refused to accept the unopened version back, I ordered this little guy to make the TV smart capable. It allows me to connect my phone to project apps onto TV and play music and shows from around the world that do not have an app. It is small and comes with a remote. Haystack news, Spotify, Netflix are available as apps. J wish more Roku apps were available in India. I take this with me when traveling so I have access to news and updates in English while in hotels where I do not speak the language.

Works great
Works great, i was able to setup netflix, youtube and yupptv (for local languages free tv), but jio hotstar was not available in app store, prime was available, no volume buttons on remote, had to use tv remote for that

Roku apps not accessible in India & other popular apps like Amazon prime, Disney+ Hotstar not found in app library.Other than that, considering functionality it's working awesomely smooth.

US version adapter and doesn't come with Prime Video and Hotstar
It's a good product (for the USA), but the reason I bought it wasn't fulfilled, so what's the point? There is no Prime Video, Hotstar, or other popular services in India. In addition, it's non-returnable, so I'm stuck with a non-functional item that doesn't serve its intended purpose.

Remote is not good
You need a tonne weight to press a button on remote. Worthless. Total waste of money. Doesn't select a wifi n/w by its own. You always have to tell it come on choose this one from this list of available wifis

useless item in South Africa
If you live in South Africa, I do not recommend you buy it, because most of the features do not work there, some apps do not appear and is not possible to install and if you like the soccer international live sport events you will be frustrated. The voice assistant does not work, even the voice search option

Disappointed my fears! Good device for general Use.
I have to share two points of view: 1- The seller was diligent in his responses and this added confidence in my purchase. 2- Now on to the product itself. I was in search for a streaming device for Netflix and Youtube only and roku gave me confidence over Google 4k streaming device. It truly works well and the UI is very easy and simple to use. I will definitely recommend buyers in Australia to go for it. However, if you have internet issue, no streaming deivce works.

Kein Ersatz für Sat-Receiver, Scherz-Netzteil
Problematisch: Die Prokuktbeschreibung nennt über 300 freie TV-Streams bzw. also Fernsehsender. Leider haben diese nur wenig zu tun mit der Senderlandschaft hierzulande, übrig bleiben knapp 10 Sender (bzw. deren Mediatheken). Somit keinerlei Ersatz für einen Sat-Receiver, was für Neulinge in der Materie nur schwer erkennbar ist. +++ Fette Pluspunkte für die übersichtlich geführte einfache Einrichtung und das Handling des Geräts, das ist super gelöst. Streaming-Abonnenten können sich freuen! -- Das beiliegende Steckernetzteil ist für irgendwelche ausländische Steckdosenformate, ein Adapter liegt nicht bei. Somit für den Mülleimer ...gut wenn man gerade ein Handy-Netzteil übrig hat. Hierfür einen Stern abzug!
