We liked the idea of having radio as well
We have SENA's for our sportbike but didn't want to go for another pair for the dirt bikes. We liked the idea of having radio as well. We gave these a try. The clip works great to attach to our helmets and the range is great. The mic is good quality. My gripes would be the interface isnt the best. Switching between music and speaking with someone requires you to press the front button which is smooth and on the front. I ended up using a couple of glue dots on the buttons so you could feel them with your gloves on. The transition between music and talking with somone is actually better than the SENA. This device, once it established, gives a little tone letting you know its connected. The SENA has a very faint beep and then you usually have to say "hello? Hello?" a few times before its connected. If you can look past the weird interface quirks, these are great.

These are really awesome! We adapted them to our bicycle helmets and it makes our rides so much better being able to talk and share during the ride. These are very well made and charging is easy. I would have given it 5 stars, but the pairing is difficult and the multifunction buttons are a nightmare!"Turn off the phone, hold the comm button for 3 seconds to turn on the unit, turn on the phone, hold the comm button for 8 seconds to pair with phone, hold the comm button for 5 seconds to turn off, hold the comm button simultaneously with your partner to pair intercom, press the comm button briefly on only one of the units."What an f***ing nightmare every time you turn it off and turn it back on! Who's going to remember all that? Multifunction buttons do not work! Put a switch for on off, a button to pair with the phone, and a button to pair with the comm. It's called good user interface. So the unit is great. The user interface is horrible. We couldn't figure out how to get them back on once we stopped at a restaurant. I have to type up simplified instructions to carry in my wallet just to remember how to do it, but once they're working, it adds a whole new level to any sport you need to communicate with a partner with.

I took a chance on these when my son started riding with me a little more and i am so glad i did
these perform REALLY well.Intercoms are one of those things, i had wanted for awhile but did't ride with someone enough to justify the high cost. I took a chance on these when my son started riding with me a little more and i am so glad i did.Now we use these with full face helmets, as the 3/4 helmet seemed like he couldn't hear me as well, though to be fair we were still dialing in the positioning of the speakers. As others have said..... It all comes down to the speaker positioning. Put the time is and find the perfect spot before tucking the wires in behind the lining.I have used these actually with phone calls too and people couldn't tell i was on the bike, again with a full face helmet, but i have a victory vegas, with baffles removed from my pipes, so they are pretty loud. on par with the harleys. Not only could they not tell i was riding the bike, but despite being a little hard of hearing, i had no problems hearing them as well. With regards to music, no these are not bose speakers, you shouldn't expect great sound quality, i would relate it to holding say your two cell phone speakers to each ear. Not awesome sound quality but sufficient and acceptable. Sure i could throw my earbuds in, but under a helmet, they quickly start to hurt.No complaints on the battery life either. My only complaint here and the reason it just missed 5 stars, is because it uses a weird type of charging cable. It's actually a nikon camera cable is the only other thing i found that uses it. like a narrower micro usb, i wish it was just a standard micro usb that everyone has 300 laying around.and lastly support. one of the clips that attaches to the helmet, was magically broken over night, i honestly don't know what happen, if i maybe had it just a tad too tight and the temp change caused just a minor movement that snapped it, or if it just got bumped just the right way or what. All i know is it wasn't dropped, however the clip snapped. (there are two types of clamps you can use, an adhesive velcro type or a clamp on for each unit)one of the units, also didn't charge right. It would never fully charge for whatever reason, not sure could have been that in my excitement i didn't let it fully charge the first time, i don't know.so i contacted the seller, and they didn't just send me a new clamp, they went ahead and sent me another set Didn't make me send the old one back for examination or anything. That is customer service. I'm very thrilled and have not had any other issues with these since.I have recommended these to everyone that i know that rides, and several people have purchased them with great results.

Decent for short rides
I really wanted to like these units for their price, but as with most items, you get what you pay for. The best thing I can say about these units is that the sound clarity is actually quite high. I did not try these over a distance, but they were used between two riders on the same bike. Even at highway speeds, we could usually understand what the other was saying.Unfortunately, we found the mounting brackets very cheap and almost useless. The slots don't align well with the clips on the units, so they are incredibly difficult to get into the mount, and have a tendency to pop off at the slightest touch. I would be afraid of losing one while riding. Also, the fully-charged batteries lasted less than 4 hours, which is not useful for anything more than an afternoon ride. Finally, integration with a phone is very poor. On my other built-in helmet system I can press the talk button to trigger voice interaction with my phone (Siri, in my case). These units do not trigger those functions on a phone.
