This is not a sheer, delicately tinted gel-based product as implied by photos. It is a gloss, and a highly pigmented one; I chose "Sunset Wave" for the almost nude peachy beige look in the photos, but in reality it comes out as a pretty dark, bold red, the closest shades to which it appears on real lips would be the two darker red-based ones shown along with it: one is "Misty Moonlight" and the other "Midnight Splash." I can't imagine how darkly pigmented those shades are in reality, if one of the lightest choices turns out like them. Total disappointment to be shown exactly what I was looking for, then given close to its opposite. I have noticed this particular kind of misrepresentation to be very common with the lip color products. I don't know if it takes more work or is more expensive to create the product that is dangled as bait, but it suggests that many people are looking for that sheer tint without sparkle or shine added.Manufacturers: Why not just make it for us, then? I might try myself! One would need to find a glycerin base, that jelly-like or gel type of lip balm in a squeeze tube (but no petroleum products for me), with just a hint of whatever true color one wants...How hard could this be, manufacturers? You could add an SPF and mark up the price, even...

I really love this lip tint. Though honestly, it's like a hybrid between a lip tint and a lip gloss. I tend to apply it two ways: 1) straight application and 2) apply and pat down. I don't think the colors are completely accurate on the image, but it was still gorgeous on, so I wasn't mad about it.

This is a nice lip color with a hint of shine.I included before and after pictures, so you could get a sense of how much color this gives your lips.Probably the nicest part of this product is that you don't need to put a lot on.One layer gives you good coverage.The fragrance this has is sort of fruity; it reminds me of grapefruit.The feel of it is light and silky, without any stickiness.Personally, I really like the color I selected, which is a deep red that is not too dark or too bright.Like most true lip tints, this leaves a little color behind even after you wipe it off.That also gives it a more even look throughout the day.While you might still touch this up after meals, I find it does not get that patchy look some lipwear does.Overall, I would give this very high marks.I like the look, feel, fragrance, wear, and color of this product.This is a nice high quality way to give you lips a color and hydration boost in one go.

This is a review of the PONY EFFECT Hydro Volume Lip Tint.I got this lip tint in the 05 Gentle Shower color and it is really pretty and would be flattering on a lot of different skin tones. It is much brighter in person once you put it on; it really brings some welcome color to my usually pale face.The lip tint is easy to put on and it really stays on for a long time. Even when it starts to wear off, you still have some color reminding on your lips.My only issue with this is that I have older skin with some slight lines above my lip and often glosses can bleed or feather into those lines. That is really the case with this lip tint so personally I use a lip liner to help out. If you don’t have this issue I think you would really love this.

I used to have really thin lips and now I have very full lips thanks to the plastic surgeon. Since I've experienced both, I know that the applicator on a lip product is just as important as what's in the tube. I have never used a more perfect lip applicator in my life. If you have "tricky lips" then you need to check out this lip tint. I found the application process to be quite satisfying as I was able to coat my lips without getting any tint where I did not want.I can't wear a red lip product that has blue undertones or I look sickly. I need those brown/orange undertones. The Misty Moonlight gives me that perfect touch of red without being too dramatic. It's definitely a lot more color than the usual lip tints I've tried. Gives tint and gloss, but not a heavy gloss.If you've ever wanted a gloss/tint hybrid then this is the product to try. I'm so glad I ordered this one.
