It functions as it should, the etching on the half moon is extremely feint, unlike the straight rule which is easier to read.

I wanted a metal protractor to incorporate into a machine.

Simple and accurate.

This is a useful little tool; I’m going to use it to mark angles across pieces of wood when making things. Mine wasn’t assembled quite correctly, it took a little fettling to get the ruler part to sit down properly on the protractor, it was cocked up at an angle and looked a bit odd. I think this was because a washer was placed between the two parts of the device rather than on top of the ruler part. Once I had put it in what I thought was the correct place, the ruler sat down properly and removed any chance of a parallax error when reading the scale. Also, the screw was done up very tightly and I had to force the ruler round to loosen it. Something the instructions say not to do. Anyway, it’s working properly now, and it seems to be accurate enough. It seems like good value for money and any problems are easy to fix.

Does the job fine but you get what you pay for. Snapped at pivot on second day of use - spend a little extra and buy something a little more robust.
