Our beautiful backyard was invaded two years ago by a family of chipmunks. They bored in below our fences and simply dug spots underneath the fences. Our scent-loving beagles were going crazy, digging up the yard to get to the chipmunks. This cycle went on for two summers. We did everything known to rid ourselves of the creatures (not the beagles!), with no success. Filling in the holes, reseeding or resodding were a waste of time and money. Filling the holes with rocks and dog poop, didn’t help. Throwing ground cayenne pepper or another pest product into the area , around the fences and in the holes likewise did not stop the chipmunks.We live in a state where trapping or baiting is heavily regulated, and shooting the varmints is illegal.Our neighbor told us he used to have voles when he was living in another state. He suggested that we try the ultrasonic repellent sticks for our situation.After spending hours on the internet comparing brands and ratings, no one company was a clear winner. On Amazon, there are so many look-alikes, and also inconsistent ratings. Eliminating those brands that clearly were cheap imitations of some of the more recognized brands (bad grammar and spelling errors are a clue), we chose a brand that was completely waterproof (I wasn’t about to pull up and put spikes back in every time I turned on the sprinklers) and wasn’t too short (some brands are 7”) or too long (some are 13 “) because there is no “easy” way to get plastic spikes, with a solar faceplate into hard soil).Verdict - of the eight spikes we received, I was able to “twist and turn” seven into the ground. The last unit came unglued at the top and shorted out after a big rain storm. But, the good news is that we haven’t seen any more chipmunks in the area and the dogs aren’t digging holes to find them!I’ve now moved two spikes to our garden and one to our flower bed to protect our bulbs. Supplemented with a commercial scent repellent, I expect the Chipmunk family will move on and hopefully out of the neighborhood!

These are no joke, These really drove all the pests out of my yard. I have used these for years, Every year or 2 they release newer updated versions. These ones are absolutely amazing, Results start pretty quick. Best results, Make an area where they all are loce enough to be in the 70 foot radius. This really smelled the little moles and gophers even voles out of my veggies. And I haven't seen a rattle snake in weeks! Absolutely 5 stars.

I have tried this product for a month now and moved them around my yard but the mole problem still persists. They have no helped with moles or snakes. I came home the other day to find a snake skin laying at my back door. I do not recommend this product and I'm highly disappointed and wish I would have kept the box so I could return them and get my $60 back. The moles are still tearing up my yard everyday and I run these things day and night. They do not work. Save your money and buy traps or poison.

I have had these for a few months now and they seem to keep the moles/gophers away, but sometimes they just move to a different part of the yard, or from the front yard to the back of the yard. Good thing it was a combo pack as I'm able to pup them in different parts of the yard. Anytime I see a new mound of dirt popup, I'm putting one into it.

The five star review is for Ely Nails they replaced the one that quit working with two. So as I said in my firstreview i would buy a second set for the backyard and they all are working. Still some what surprised that they actually do the job. Have not had any new mole mounds since installed,I still see activity in the neighbors yard. I'll give the product a 4 star Just because I still can't believe they Work!

I put 8 of these in my yard and I am convinced that they work. The problem is that three of them have just stopped working. I wanted to see if they worked and if they did, I was going to buy a 2nd set for full coverage and backups Hard for me to justify buying another set knowing that almost half of them quit working.

It helped to repel moles but first you need to get rid of the ones you already have.

The stakes were easy to put in the ground. One concern we had was some reviews mentioned dogs were effected by the vibrations. I have been standing beside one with my dog when the vibrations started and my dog didn’t even seem to notice it. Today we noticed some new holes but they were elsewhere in the neighborhood none have appeared in our yard since we set the stakes up.
