They hold tight to my stove even though I only have enough room for HALF the magnet in place. I use them to hold my oven mitts. They are terrific!

These are decent basic hooks, albeit a bit pricy compared to similar products. The 8lbs strength appears to be a pretty accurate description, measured when suspended from a steel surface; used vertically such as a refrigerator or filing cabinet, they will slide down with a lot less force. Each magnet has a non-marring, high density sticker on the bottom, so that when they do slide they do not damage the surface. The hook is strong enough for anything that the magnet could support, and I was pleased that I was able to bend it with some hand tools into the shape I wanted. Unlike most cupholder magnets with S-shaped curves, this hook comes from the factory as a simple V shape, somewhat less than 90 degrees.If you're looking for a strong magnet, this isn't it and the packaging looks to be some decades old. But these fill the requirements for lightweight holding, such as plastic utensils where a cupholder-style is awkward.

I bought these for my fridge, to hold a calendar and other things. They really hold tight, haven’t slid at all under the weight of a large calendar or dish towel.

VERY strong - but larger than expected. Bought this to hold a fairly heavy calendar on my refrigerator. It does the job but sticks out a bit. Overall - does its job!

Ordered two of the two-pack, and I received two four-packs. So I don't know if they simply ran out of the two-packs and substituted the four-packs, but in any case I ended up with twice as many magnets as I needed. I will say though that I will undoubtedly find a use for the extra magnets because they are just what I was looking for. All of my magnets came properly threaded.With anything like this, if you need to fasten them to the side of something like a refrigerator, don't expect to put the heaviest possible item on them and then complain when you get scratches from it sliding. The weight a magnet can hold would naturally be based upon an item hanging vertically down from the magnet. If you need to have a magnet attached to a side surface and don't want it to slide, the strength of the magnet's weight capacity needs to be several times the weight of the object you expect to hang. To remove the magnet, pull it straight away from the surface. If any magnet does not come with a protective backing, you can use clear packing tape. Stick a piece on the bottom and then trim to size.

Ridiculously strong magnets for the size, awesome product exactly what I was looking for, perfect size for my office whiteboard and strong enough to hold keys without sliding off; so glad I ordered!!

This is my second set, I moved last Fall and forgot them I think! I use them on the refrigerator to hold an old-fashioned calendar! Yes, I know how to use my phone, etc., but I don't trust it. And, this is visual, right in the center of the kitchen, I raised my kids on calendars! And, these magnets are extremely strong, perfect to hold a full sized calendar against the fridge. Amazing value for the price.
