This thing can't melt butter must less embossing powder. You can hold the gun on the powder for 10 mins and nothing happens. You know the product is bad when the manufacturer emails you to ask for my opinion because they had so many returns and complaints. If there product is that bad why waste customers time selling it so they could only return it. The cord was so short you couldn't work comfortable you had to have a plug up on your desk . the only thing it had going for it was is looks. At first I didn't know if it was the gun that was bad or bad embossing powder, since I had purchased them at the same time. Once the manufacturer wrote me I knew it had to be this gun. I replaced it with the Darice heat gun which is $5 cheaper and WOW what a difference. Proved the powder was good because it took a couple of seconds to work. Don't waste your time with this product. It on it's way back with obviously all the other ones.

Caught fire internally the first time I used it. Thank goodness I had the common sense to unplug it and throw it outside when it started smoking. Watched the casing melt away and smoke like crazy on my sidewalk!

The photo does not do this item justice. I thought this tool was going to be tiny. It is not. This tool is nine inches long. The tubular design easily fits in my hand. It is just the right size and it is powerful hot. This tool will definately meet your heat-seeking needs. Great price, too!

It worked great for the first week or two, then the switch to turn it on and off stopped working about half the time. I have to flick it to the on position with some force for it to recognize and actually turn on. Other than that, for the cost it's good. It's small, which is nice, but the cord is WAY too short. If I'm sitting at my table, I can't even plug it in to the power strip on the floor and have it reach my projects. But I didn't pay too much, so I'm not too bothered.

I used it for the purpose of heating up stickers and price tags to remove them cleanly...it works great. Gets very hot. I know people use it for embossing...I dont even know what that is. But this thing gets HOT. People say its not "embossing hot"...but it works perfect for my use. It's also not too loud, so i can use at night when the baby is asleep. No more loud hair dryer. BOOM! QST for the win. Whoever they are.

Great for getting into small spaces. Powerful blower. Plastic shroud is good to keep from burning yourself. Wire stand works well. Cord is a bit on the short side. Would strongly recommend to others.

I bought this for heat-shrinkable tubing for electronics projects. I was disappointed. It does not really get hot enough, or at least not hot enough to shrink the tubing quickly, I have better luck with a cigarette or grill lighter. I do still use it for heat shrink tubing when I'm outside in the wind where a cigarette lighter won't stay lit.

Description clearly states this is for a 110v heat tool. I received a 220v tool with a European plug. Completely useless.
