quit after < 1 year
This is a review of the Kingston 1GB SD card only, not other cards by the same manufacturer. It is not marked as to class. I bought it about a year ago to use in a picture frame, not a camera. Then I decided to use a USB stick for the picture frame and used this for backup for the files I am currently working on on my computer. About 2 months ago I started getting error messages that prevented me from writing files to the card. I formatted it, thus losing some of the earlier backup, but then recopied all the current files I could think of. It worked ok for about another 6 weeks. But last week, the same thing happened again, but this time it immediately stopped accepting files, and reformatting didn't solve the problem. I then switched to a Kingston 4 GB class 4 card that I had, and so far, all is well. I don't know what could be causing this problem; whether it's the class or just some environmental problem. If these things are not well shielded from weak stray magnetism, it could indict all cards of this type. I did not subject it to any strong magnetic fields, I can assure you. I can't now remember what the error messages said verbatim, but I recall that the problem was only with writing, not reading. So perhaps this card would work in a camera, but I'm not sure I would want to risk losing important shots.

It works in my old camera
My old Nikon requires a 1 or 2 Gig SD card. No others will work.
