Knowing the question is half the battle.
This book is for your own self assessment and personal self development. Focused on career development, it can be easily adapted for personal, spiritual and relationship assessments, development and goals. This is not a book for reading. It is a book for doing. I would recommend working through this book with a mentor or significant other for accountability.

“Don’t believe everything you think!” -unknown
Like skiing, self-reflection is easy to learn but difficult to master! I’m on day 27, and this book is challenging previous assumptions that I held about myself. I perceived the first few days to be easy, and as the questions slowly draw me in, I am forced to think and feel deeper about each response with each passing day! I find this book so insightful that I am going to put it down for a month when I finish, then do it again to see what additional insights I can draw, and how I can face similar scenarios in the future. I recommend this book to anyone from individual contributor, to first line supervisor, to CEO, to entrepreneur! This book is a small investment with a high return. Thank you Joe and Cassie for publishing!

A great self improvement guide
This nugget of gold has been a missing link in leadership practice. We all know reflection is critical, but this book guides us through how to do it. Without reflection, there is no insight, and without insight, no successful change or improvement. The Green Book carries the reader through a 30-day session of great coaching questions that prompt morning and evening reflection. The questions start with intent and end with sense-making—what does all this mean? Once completed, the leader will better understand themselves and a catalog of insights to refer back to. The Green Book is an excellent blueprint for any of us wanting to improve.

Great Reflection Exercises and Coaching Tool
I bought a dozen copies of My Green Notebook to use in my one on one mentorship and coaching sessions. It does a phenomenal job helping my teammates self-reflect and learn how to learn from their own experience. I highly recommend this to leaders and coaches to use in developing their team.

An essential self-discovery tool and pragmatic roadmap
My Green Notebook is an invaluable resource for all leaders changing jobs because it bridges the gap between enlightened self-discovery and motivating action. While it's grounded in personal and professional reflection (defined by the authors as 'examining the past to learn from our actions and behaviors'), it provides a structured, logical, easy way for leaders to convert the introspection into a pragmatic going forward roadmap. This formula elevates job success by grounding new positions, assignments and careers within a meaningful personal value system. Value-driven workplace cultures are the foundation of organizational success!

Know thyself before changing jobs!
I dedicated myself to the ritual of following the book for 30 days and I'm 17 days into it. The daily topics are obviously engineered by leadership-experienced people that recognize the benefit of exploring critical topics. Though I already had a semi-regular habit of reflecting and writing, the topics that Joe and Cassie forced me to reflect upon were from dark corners of my mind that I ignored or conveniently forgot. I'm in the middle of a major career change and this exercise is helping me reflect meaningfully.

Phenomenal book for leaders preparing to transition into another job
Really liked how the book was broken down into 30 easily consumed iterations in order to help the reader rebalance and refocus prior to transitioning into their next job. Recommend this book to any leader who wants to do some self reflection prior to beginning their next job.

Know thy Self!
Perhaps the best tool for structured introspection I seen. Ideal for future and seasoned leaders in any profession. Should be required for Resident ILE PME programs.
