I almost never write reviews but I've come back nearly 2 years after buying this printer to tell everyone that's just great. When you just want something to work, no faffing around, easy and simple - this is the printer you need to get. It seems like so many things don't work well anymore. They lose connection, or you have to switch to another band, or you've got to go and restart it or download some buggy, bloated software. But this has none of those problems. I don't thik I've restarted it since the day I got it. It just sits on the tope floor (of 3), and if I want to print from my phone or laptop it does it. With my previous Epsom printer, half the time I'd take the two flights of stairs to realise it hadn't printed, then i needed to reinstall the windows app or something, and lost hours trying to print a postage label. This has never let me down once.When I got a new work laptop recently, I barely had to do anything - just search for a new printer, it appears, and it prints. I don't use it loads - probably only one or two prints a week - but I'm still on my initial ink cartridge. Being black and white also makes it easier, no faffing around trying to preserve ink, just simple, easy, prinint.g It seems to be compatible with any laptop or mobile device I've tried, and it's never even had a paper blockage. It's just great, in a world of bad tech that seems to make your life more complicated, this is a rare beast that does what you want it to, right-first-time, and never fails. I absolutely love it.

Our 15yo printer (a Brother colour/duplex model) had given sterling service until, all of a sudden, failed. It was going to cost more than a new one to fix. We don’t often need colour nowadays (so could divert those needs to an inkjet that probably needs to be used more often) but duplex is a definite, as is an Ethernet port (something going out of fashion on many offerings). This one looked a reasonable option - inexpensive and had the requisite port, so I ordered it. I was surprised at how light it was but it didn’t take long to set up and it seems to work well. Both our MacBooks found it on first ask, and didn’t require any downloads. I couldn’t figure out how to connect it to WiFi but, with the wired connection to the broadband router, it’s not necessary as AirPrint works through the router.

A bit of a bugger to set up but, once you get there well worth your while. Top Tip, set up your account with HP first, then they help you. Printer is spot on, great print quality and extremely quick. Unlike an ink jet printer, it doesnt cost you a fortune to use. It seems as soon as I press print, my copy is out, great and WiFi. No trailing leads to trip over, just a signal in the air. Take my advice and get one. It has a nice small footprint as well, about the same as an inkjet. Just it costs you basically nothing to print whatever you want. I've been running an injet which seems to love having cartridges replaced. Well no more for me, so glad I bought this and it runs so well and very quiet.

I have had this for two years. It now has stopped working and HP deny it ever existed. I enter the serial number and product number on their website for support and they say it is not valid. I get these details from their app, where I have been operating the printer from.The printer has a flashing amber status bar that means there is a problem, and this can be almost anything. It automatically disconnects from the Wi-Fi, so the app cannot view its issue. It also now cannot print its status out either.HP have not been able to give any meaningful support.I am frustrated and disappointed in this printer. I suggest you do not buy it.

I bought this to directly replace the very similar DWE model which requires the device to be connected to the internet. I'd bought the DWE model and immediately there were issues with web connections etc. A phone call to an HP Agent culminated in him recommending that I return it for a refund - which I did, and hurriedly purchased the DW model instead.The DW is in my opinion the much better option: it doesn't require an internet connection to function, which removes a potential big problem from the get go. Set up is easy and hassle free (definitely not the case with the DWE!) and the double sided printing ability is a godsend. I'm very happy with the printer since buying it a month or so ago. The only little quirk is that turning it off can be a little mysterious as to how long you hold down the power button before it actually turns off, but maybe that's just my printer! I'll get on top of it before too long. All in all, a good solid printer for the price and hopefully it will last nearly 20 years just like the HP printer it replaced. Recommended.

A great little printer - ideal for my needs. I wanted a compact laser jet that had the option of double sided printing. Easy to set up to my WiFi and link to my laptop without cables. Very pleased. 😊

Nice quality and fast printing speed when it works. Sadly it just isn't reliable. It arrived with a damaged lead and frequently loses connectivity, really dissapointing. The support team are good, and I should know because we speak often!

I bought this printer for two reasons;Firstly as my old one needs a new toner cartridge at £88 for a genuine one and this new printer has only cost £100 including a new cartridge. I know it's not as many pages from the included cartridge but it will last me at least five years without needing replacement.Secondly, this printer has Ethernet and WiFi connections and within ten minutes of unpacking it I had printed a page from my iPhone, iPad, and Laptop via WiFi.Not particularly easy for me to set it up but once running its perfect.The footprint is smaller than my previous HP Laser and its quicker to respond to a print request.Print quality seems better than the old one which I have had for twelve years so overall very happy.

Magnifica impresión a doble cara, gran calidad del producto. La aplicación es muy fácil de instalar te viene un QR en la guía. Automáticamente detecta tu red wifi y configura sola la impresora conectándola a la red wifi. En la aplicación te sale una barra que te indica el nivel de tinta que tiene la impresora lo cual es muy práctico.Los folios aparecen cubiertos dentro de la bandeja lo que resulta muy útil para que no se estropeen. La impresión a doble cara es super rápida lo que hace muy útil para la impresión de muchos documentos.Si quieres instalar la app desde tu teléfono o tablet solo tienes que meterte en PlayStore o en la página de descargas de Apple y poner 123.hp.com y ya descargas la app y simplemente al estar todos tus aparatos en la misma red wifi solo tienes que darle a imprimir al documento que quieras.Está opción te permite tener tú impresora sin necesidad de que esté conectada directamente al ordenador, puedes tenerla en cualquier sala de tu casa donde llegue wifi lo que ahorra espacio en tu mesa de trabajo.Encantada con el producto y la facilidad de instalación. Lo recomiendo!!

Terrible product constantly fails to connect to my computer. Got to the point where I have been forced to hardwire it in. Regret ever buying this piece of junk.
