LIGHTWEIGHT, STREAMLINED, ONE-PERSON SHELTER One of the most tricked-out in our collection, the classic clamshell Molecule Bivy sports an overlapping zipper for easy breathing, a durable, waterproof, anti-fungal-coated 70D floor, a vented foot box and a no-see-um net to keep the bugs out. Small, lightweight, and weather-ready, this is perfect for light solo missions.

Man, I could NOT breath. Grt build quality though!
Great material and build quality. Good features; foot vent; loops to lift top up; mesh screen.BUT I had allot of trouble breathing. I'm not claustrophobic at all, it's that this just didn't have enough ventilation. I knew it wasn't going to be like a tent but I never thought it would be as bad as it was. It's advertised as breathable but for me it just wasn't. I opened the main zipper a little and was able to get more than enough air in to breath but then my face was very cold and I started getting a stuffy and runny nose.Look, this Bivy has great build quality and gd features. But I couldn't get enough air, I was breathing so hard lol, like legit panting.Don't count OS out though because they make allot of great products.

It will condensate if you're breathing into it like all other bivys
I'm 5'9'' 155lbs. Used this on a 30 degree night with a 19 degree bag and I had to take off all extra layers. Would never use this fully shut if possible. It will condensate if you're breathing into it like all other bivys. If you needed to stake the hood over you and leave an opening it works fine as long as its not heavily raining.

not like the pictures
in the picture, this looks like it has an arched top, but it doesn't it is just a sack.

Not same as picture advertised
While the picture shows this bivy standing up by itself - this is really just a minimalist bivy to keep you dry. There are no poles, and the bivy lays on your face - unless you buy some string, and attach it to a tree limb above (ridiculous). The bivy shown in the picture is a $250 bivy with poles so it stands by itself. Bait/switch? False advertising? Call it what you will...but the product isn't the one shown in the picture.I never used the bivy - so it might be a great rudimentary bivy...but from the picture, I was expecting a better product....so I sent it back.

NOT possible to prop up with POLE
As noted by others you CANNOT prop up with pole unless you capture a squirrel and train it to hold the bivy up with a string (not included). Since it doesn’t stand up as shown in picture it builds condensation and rain puddles on top of your body. You’ll have to spend the extra $$$ to get the type that stands up or purchase a squirrel trap.

Three Stars
Does the job, BUT why does it not come with the stake to keep it upright around the mesh?!

a nice bivy paired with a tarp.
narrow with not much room left when a sleeping bag is in use.
