Transformers Playskool Heroes Rescue Bots Academy Classic Team Ages 3 and Up

If your kid is a super fan of transformers, this is a good gift for them. It is not that fancy or complicated, which can make sounds and many formats. But it can trans from robots to cars within 1 seconds, and it is sturdy.

This car was a hit with my 3 year old, but also with the 6-8 year olds that he played around after he got it. (They traded him some of their cars to get a turn with Chase.) There is just one motion to convert from real working car to robot, which is both good and bad. Even my 3 year old is frustrated that there isn’t more “action” to the action figure. That may be because he already has a small optimus prime for older kids - but he cannot transform that one by himself. So for what this is, I think it’s pretty good. If my son didn’t know about the more sophisticated transformers, he would love this 100%. As it is, he’s around a 90%, which still feels like a 5 star rating.

We got this for my son’s friend who got promoted to big brother. It’s easy for a 2 and 3 y/o to manipulate and transform. It’s a toy he keeps coming back to play with because it’s durable (mud, sand, bathtub).

We got my son a Chase transformer for his 3rd birthday, which kickstarted his love for these toys! His fourth birthday ended up being TransFOURmer themed! This was the perfect one to start with because it's very simple to transform. In addition to Chase, he also has Heatwave and Optimus Prime from this same brand and all of those have been great as well.
