I ordered the full size in light gray and it arrived in 2 packages on the same day. Shipping took a week, but it was not listed as Prime shipping, so that was to be expected. Both boxes were very heavy and I had to have my husband carry them into the house. When you open the big rectangular headboard box, be sure to keep the front fabric part of the headboard facing down as a lot of large parts and pieces are stored and shipped inside the back of the headboard and you don’t want it to tear the black fabric on the back or pull out the Velcro strips. Lift the black fabric on the back from bottom to top to expose the hidden parts and pieces. Take them all out, then take the headboard piece out of the box. The instructions were clear, however, they’ve made a product improvement and already attached the 4 metal brackets on each end of the side boards. They now have the hook on attachment which is SO much easier. I actually put this bed together by myself in an hour (with help from my 2 year old.) If you plan to use this bed frame with an adjustable base, you may need to take the 4 wooden supports off of the side rails using a size 4 Allen wrench. Although it makes the side rails a little more flimsy, there’s no weight on the bed frame itself, so it’s fine. I omitted the supports, the bed slats, and the 4 side rail supports (which I unscrewed and removed.) I bought a 14” Beauty Rest pillow top mattress from Mattress Firm and they had a special where the new mattress came with a free adjustable bed frame. I purchased 2 sets of the 3” legs to replace the standard legs on the adjustable bed frame because this full size bed is for my 2 year old and I need it as low to the ground as possible. The adjustable bed frame sits exactly inside this Home Life Light Gray Bed Frame PERFECTLY!!! I tested the remote before I put the mattress on to make sure everything was lined up straight. There is a 3” gap between the bottom of the headboard and the top of the mattress, but that’s only b/c I chose the lower 3” legs for the adjustable bed frame. I tucked the sheets and large comforter into the bottom and sides of the bed so the covers won’t fall off the mattress anymore. All that’s left to do is label the screws from the support boards and put all remaining parts and pieces into the long box and store it in the garage for when we raise the bed once our toddler gets older. I’m VERY HAPPY with this bed frame and I paid around $200 for it including shipping. I highly recommend this and I’d buy it all over again.

5/8/2021: Almost 2 years later, UPDATE: I can’t say enough about this bed. Without exaggeration, it’s **absolutely FABULOUS**. Purchased this bed 12/2019 for my VERY TALL, now 6’2 teen who is around 300lbs. I don’t write reviews often. And I definitely don’t go back to review to update them. In this case, I am because I am BEYOND pleased with this purchase STILL! I was super unsure how well this bed would hold up over time (when I first bought it) because it was not very expensive & how it was made (Never had a bed with wooden slats~ removes the need for a box spring). I was also unsure because of a few negative reviews at the time. I’m SO GLAD I ignored them & took them with a grain of salt. My daughter is NOT GENTLE with anything she owns. NOTHING, and I mean nothing without exaggeration, lasts more than 3 weeks TOPS with her if I’m lucky. If there’s a way to break something, she’ll find it. This bed, to date, is THE BEST online purchase I’ve physically ever made. She’s moved the bed in her room now multiple times by herself . Has not listened to me to be “very careful” when moving the bed (I said be careful because of the single foot that is in the middle for support)....and this bed is STILL like the first day we got it. I haven’t needed to go in and tighten any screws. I haven’t needed to buy any special cleaners or a portable carpet cleaner with special attachments for upholstery to spot clean the fabric (one of my worries). This was another concern of mine. How well the fabric would hold up & take dirty food hands, makeup fingers, and...dirty food hands. Yes I said it twice, food stains were a big concern. This child will get ketchup on her BACK. Food on the back of her neck. In her hair. She physically destroys everything. Isn’t careful. She’s the type of child that makes a parent say “we can never have anything nice”. All this to say: I’m not sure if there is some special fabric protector on it (like a scotch guard) but for whatever reason, any food or make up she’s gotten on it simply wipes off super easy. Unbelievably no stains. I’m seriously beyond my mind how it’s so sturdy, has held up after being abused and STILL is like the first day we bought it. Absolutely beyond happy with this purchase. UPDATE- 3/10/20: Wanted to give an update since we have had the bed since 12/25/19. STILL 5 STARS!! Not one issue with the bed, at all, even given the fact it’s a 15 y/o’s bed (who does flop on the bed. Is 6’ 2” & 280lbs). Still looks like the day we got it. Truly my best purchase. So beyond happy!! Original review 12/26/19: Absolutely perfect!!!! It is gorgeous. Purchased the queen size. Looks just as pictured! The headboard is nice and high. It is a bit higher than the picture which is a huge plus! It’s even better in person. Did take me a solid hour to put this together by myself. (I did take my time). But considering what I paid for it, it was well worth it. I shopped for a good month trying to find an upholstered high back backboard. Every single one I found like this are a minimum of $500 (up to $3,000) for just the backboard alone. So for $230/$240 , I got not only just an upholstered back board but this is the backboard, the side rails and you do not need a boxspring! Put this together the day after Christmas, I’m going on a month of use now end it is absolutely perfection Reading some of the reviews, I was a little hesitant No pieces were missing, all of the holes lined up, and there is no overwhelming odor that one person stated. Certain smells can give me an absolute headache and I have a very high sense of smell. Absolutely no issues with any smell. There are indeed two boxes. Both boxes arrived the same day for me. They are marked on the box, very clearly box 1 of 2. Box 2 of 2. For the one poster who said they only received one box and “started putting it together then realized there had to be another box”..... I find that hard to believe. It is clearly marked on the box there are two boxes and this is box 1. You physically cannot do anything, or start to put together what is in box 1 without box 2, or put anything together in box 2 without box 1 . Knowing what’s in box 1 and box 2, I have no idea what they supposedly put together because you absolutely need both boxes to put ANY of it together. PRO TIP: As other people suggested, as well as the instructions suggested, ***hand tighten each side first.... Then go back and securely fasten after**** ***You will absolutely need an Electric screwdriver on the last step*****. The last step is screwing each wooden slat down (one screw (provided) on each end. This part goes very quick so long you have an electric screwdriver! After a month of use by my teenager, it seems very sturdy.

Pros: The bed looks like it’s worth a vast amount more than 200$ and is breathtaking in style. It holds up very well to fun time but does squeak a little. Fast delivery service !!! The bed is very comfortable and doesn’t cause my high end mattress to fall between the slates. Easy to put together with two or more people. Very sturdy and stylish as well as being very heavy and feels high end. This bed is absolutely beautiful and well worth the money. Cons: Very unlikely to be put together by one person, it is heavy, bulky, and very difficult to put together alone. The box was miss handled by the delivery service, this isn’t the company’s fault they have no control over who handles it after it leaves their facility!!! It had huge holes in the box thankfully the bed wasn’t damaged! The boxes were also opened when they arrived! Instructions were a bit vague and hard to go by. When you put the bed together make sure it’s in the place you want it because it is rather heavy and hard to move after being built. Slight gaps between the headboard and frame. (No bigger than 3 inches on both sides) The bed is more of a warm grey then a cool grey, so it looks more tan than grey. During a session with a partner the bed will squeak a little, same with harsh moments of any kind. The slats are on the cheap side, and are very light weight to be holding an expensive mattress. The stitching was a little uneven and coming loose in places, and the way the fabric is attached is a bit sloppy. The fabric is also frayed a little in spots but those are not visible when the bed is put together. !You need a power tool to put the slats on correctly, so if you don’t have a battery powered drill with a screwdriver attachment then you will be forced to put the slats into a stable position the old fashioned way.... with a regular screwdriver... it isn’t to fun to do it this way as I had to. Conclusion: Amazing quality for the price would recommend to anyone needing a bed frame that looks very high quality on the surface. It’s an astonishing price and has exceeded my expectations!! I would definitely buy it again!

I love this bed! It is honestly one of my top 5 Amazon purchases ever! The quality is unbelievable for the price. I shopped around before buying this one and this is honestly a $1000 bed at a furniture store. I picked this one form others on Amazon mainly because of the height of the headboard since this one was the tallest. It's not one of those super tall headboards but it's just right. I have it with a brand new 12" mattress. The bed itself is shorter than I imagined. I hadn't really paid attention to the height when I placed the order so I didn't know. It's like sitting on a low chair. I'm 5'7" and my feet touch the ground flat. I didn't like it at first but now I'm fine with it. I guess I just got used to it. If you like big tall beds, don't buy this one. The fabric is very nice. It has a slight sheen to it when the light hits itt. I really couldn't decide on which color I wanted since I liked them all but considering I have two black dogs, I didn't want any of the lighter colors. I loved the blue one but thought it would show the dust too much so I decided on this grey thinking it would still be too light. I was surprised when I opened the box. It's just the right shade of medium grey. Goes perfect with my room and won't get easily dirty. I love the silver stud detail that goes all the way down to the floor. Makes it seem much more expensive than it was. It is heavy duty strong and I don't hear any noise when I get on. I'm not exactly skinny and neither is my hubby. I'm not worried about it at all. Every slat is screwed on and it has several metal bars underneath for support. I am so happy with this bed. UPDATE: I have no idea what the weight limit is on this bed but one day about 3-4 weeks after we bought it we heard two loud noises. It turns we had pushed in the legs you can unscrew to level the bed (the two in the middle of the bed) so we added some wood underneath and we're good now. UPDATE 8 YEARS LATER: I still have this bed! I've been using with an adjustable base for about the past six years which fits perfectly inside. Bed still looks brand new!

As others have mentioned in their reviews, I too had 1 of 2 boxes delivered... here is my experience. Ordered and payed $30 more to purchase from ship and sold by Amazon, instead of purchasing from a seller with shipping fees from the east coast. Order one was "shipped" and never arrived. Immediately contacted support via chat and was told that a replacement order will be placed. 2nd try, only 1 of 2 boxes arrived and order was marked delivered by UPS. Immediately contacted support via chat and was informed that it "should" be only one box.... informed the rep that there was no way possible that a king sized bed frame is in that one box and the box was clearly marked "1 of 2". 3rd try... FINALLY after so many tries and days passed, I received my completed order! The assembly process was pretty straight forward. Quality is pretty good... for the price, I can't complain too much. My previous bed frame from Ashley was more expensive and much better quality. I do have two complaints, first is that one of the nuts was machined wrong and immediately cross threaded. Flipped the nut and tried again and screwed nicely until it reach the other end of the nut causing it to not be able to use. Second, the front panel that holds the wooden screw on legs, the way thread was mounted on my board was not centered, I had to screw the legs in at an angle and had to force it straight. Luckily, I straightened out and did not break and feels strudy enough. Now I have to make the trip to home depot to replace the bolt and nut. After three attempts, I was certainly not contacting amazon again since I am sure their answer would be to box it all back up and wait for another replacement.... Now I have box 1 of 2 from the 2nd attempt waiting to be picked up. Their return process required me to forward amazon's email and add my information to "Pilot". It says it would take 2 - 4 weeks just for a reply! We shall see when they finally pick it up... This whole experience was the reason I paid more to purchase from ship and sold by amazon. Then again, the 3rd party seller may have gotten it right on the first try, who knows! You have been warned!

I've been on the search for one of these headboards for YEARS. So when my previous bed broke and my bf suggested we get a new one I immediately went searching for these kinds. The first one I was gonna get had a scalloped shape to it and I kept going back and forth about it and stumbled on this one, so I was debating between the two. The scalloped one went out of stock 2 days before I planned to purchase so I went with this one instead. And I'm so glad I did! My bf and I put this together in about an hour but we worked pretty slow to make sure we weren't rushing through any instructions (I woulda just guessed, pfft instructions)! It was super easy to put together and everything you need comes in the box. I know some people suggested using extra tools but it's really not needed. You have the option to drill the slates on to the frame if you want but we didn't (cause forgot the drill and it was like 2am) and so far the mattress hasn't moved or anything despite that. I previously had an IKEA bed with the two sets of slates and if that didn't need to be drilled down, I think this one will be fine considering it has 100 times more stability than that IKEA one did. I love the embellishments on the side of the headboard, I think it gives it a nice extra look. The bed frame itself is great quality! The legs that attach to the bottom piece is nice detail! I absolutely love this bed! Now to find a nightstand that's aesthetically pleasing enough to match.

After 10+ years it was finally time to buy a new bed and since I’d be spending more time in bed now more than ever with this whole quarantine situation I thought now is the time to buy one. I searched for days for a bed frame and mattress that suited my needs and once I finally picked a mattress I had to buy the bed frame to go with it. I looked at many different sites and read so many reviews and so finally I came to amazon to see what they had. I was surprised when I found this bed because it looked really nice and the reviews were pretty good. It was the style I wanted and in my budget so I ordered it. It came a lot sooner than expected which was good because it was supposed to arrive after my mattress got here so I’m glad it came before. Assembly was easy it comes with instructions and all the hardware you need for the bed but one thing I would recommend is ditching the “tools” it comes with and using your own drill and wrench. It took me about 2.5 hours to assemble the entire thing (which I did by myself). The fabric and design seems to be very high quality and I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone interested in ordering. It looks great in my room and my mattress (queen) fit on it perfectly. It’s only been a couple days since I’ve set it up and slept on it so don’t want to give 5/5 on sturdiness just yet but it seems like a great bed and I’m glad I bought it especially for what I paid.

I, like everyone else, was skeptical that this bed frame could be any good considering the amazing price. However, I was happy to find that the bed frame exceeded my expectations and is really sturdy for an every day used bed. I ordered the king size, and it came in two separate boxes: one being the head board and smaller length pieces and the other being the long wood rails. Considering how inexpensive the frame was, the tufting on the headboard was well done and looked really nice. Now, it will never pass as a thousands of dollars frame, but it definitely looks a lot more expensive than what I paid. Unlike some people's reviews, mine did come with instructions to put it together and they were relatively straight forward and easy to understand. The rails are real wood, though not incredibly thick, and the hardware seems high quality and could take the brunt of abuse from just about anything. When fully put together the frame doesn't wobble and there is no creaking or noise to speak of. My only concern is whether the bed slats will hold up after a few years of use. While they are also real wood, they are fairly thin and I can see this being a problem if you sit down on the bed too hard or have a kid jump on it a few too many times. Either way, it would be very easy to replace them with some wood cut down to size. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase and really like the look of the bed frame. It kind of makes the rest of my bedroom look a little shabby in comparison, so I may have to do some updating to everything else to make it look as nice.
