Installation of the belt was easy enough as taking a Flymo apart these days takes ...
Purchased a Flymo Glider G330 in May 2017 and just two days ago the drive belt shredded whilst in use. Installation of the belt was easy enough as taking a Flymo apart these days takes about 10mins tops. Just make sure you have a Torx driver to had as I needed a T25 to get 6x screws off the chassis.Hopefully this belt will last longer than the stock G330 belt but going by these reviews I doubt it. I'll edit this review in future with an update.Update: 05/06/18 - As per included photo, the belt has already broken after just two mowing attempts on a small lawn. So we're left with a next to useless mower purchased in 2017 that can't even survive on a Flymo branded authentic belt. Time to look elsewhere for a direct drive mower.

Shredded flymo belt
The original manufacturers belt was replaced after about four years with a alternative belt. Which lasted long enough to cut two thirds of a small lawn before shredding, approx ten minutes ,so I thought serves me right ,don't buy cheap , so I bought a genuine flymo replacement ,replacing belt was fairly straightforward but if you are not to sure possibly take a photo or two as you go can sometimes save a bit of time for older folk ,the New genuine replacement belt lasted longer about ten minutes longer, not even paid the bill yet ! As ive worked on machines all my life I know all about tensions on belts ,as Amazon are reported on tv of throwing out so many products perhaps they could throw a couple of belts my way!

Replacing the belt next time will be much easier!
Once I had realised that removing the cutting blade was not necessary (instruction booklet mislaid) removal of the plastic cowling took a couple of screws and the actual belt replacement took very little effort - I found it easier to fit it round the small pulley first and then ease it onto the larger pulley, while rotating same by hand...

Quick delivery in a emergency. Fantastic.
Bought this belt as I needed a replacement for my Flymo Glider 330 belt after it snapped after 6 years of use leaving my lawn looking like it had a Mohican!. This was a emergency purchase and came very next day. I have changed it over and used this no problems. Lawnmower works fine again. One thing I didn't realise is that you can't undo the motor cover on Flymo's with a normal screwdriver or allen keys so had to purchase a set of long handle Torx Keys from Amazon too for about £6. So check out your mower as well before ordering in case you need a set of those too! Its like a star shaped screw hole. Lots of "how to" vids on Youtube how to swap it over.

One of the simplest repairs I have ever done
once you have worked out what to take off and where and relates to a Compact 300.Taking the screws off of the motor casing and undoing the nut for the blade and spacers (very simple with the Flymo spanner) allows access to the four screws anchoring the motor/wheel unit. This then allows the motor/wheel unit to pop out and changing the belt, in my case already snapped, was simpler than trying to stretch a rubber band.It is an exact fit, so takes a few tries to get it on, but after that it is as simple as reassembling and making sure everything is tightened up.It does state that despite it being an original Flymo part that changing it yourself will invalidate a warranty, irrelevant in my case, and, as long as you ensure the unit isn't plugged in while working on it, I can't see that if your mower isn't working that anyone that knows at the least how to use a screw driver couldn't fix a snapped belt themselves at a much smaller cost than taking it to a repair centre.Very satisfying.
