Bought 2 to replace current keys which were falling apart. Straight swap no issues Looks good quality. Swapped silver pieces with original embossed range rover ones nice tight fit.

An excellent after market product. Hardly distinguishable from the original product. It is worth having a soldering iron to melt the old pins and ease the printed circuit board out of the old key without damage and then use the soldering iron a second time to melt the new pins. The latter part perhaps not essential as the replacement key is so well engineered. The chrome cap was a tight fit so a soft jaw vice could come in handy.

Easy enough to switch the electronic board into but not fully confident in strength and durability.

Direct replacement for my Range Rover sport key. Easy to transfer the old chip across. Good quality. Bought as my old key was peeling rubber and falling apart (common fault) perfect non original direct replacement. Word of advice when transferring be careful as board can be tricky to remove. Use a precision knife to remove black tabs or flat screwdriver to break away board very carefully and just place back into new housing no need to solder or melt pins. Good quality replacement handy for land rover and jaguar works just like original for me. Nice to have an easy way to get new case on common fault with the Land Rover keys peeling and breaking. After reading some reviews about this product. I was sceptical about it. But took me 2 minutes to swop bodies. Easy fit no hassle. Only gripe (not even a serious one) was the metal bit was really tight to slide on. But that could be cos it's brand new. Good quality great price.

Review of 2nd case purchased 2 years later- Utter rubbish. The two halves do not align, this will catch and cause the waterproof flexible coating to peel. I am returning this and sticking with my tatty jaguar key. Pity as the replacement recieved 2 years ago was perfectly made and is still in perfect condition. Review of 1st case purchased: Perfect replacement for tatty 10yr old rover fob where the rubber had peeled off. Quality is excellent. I had to snip the old mounting in existing key fob to get the internals out - best done with battery removed. It is not as simple as levering out per the video instructions as the mounting pin is flattened over as a cap and levering might break the circuit board. Not an issue. Just used common smarts and 5mins of my time. I found I could use the existing 'Rover' embossed metal key cover instead of the blank cover provided which makes it look like a JLR replacement instead of a pirate part. A tight fit pushing it on but a couple of gentle taps got it fully aligned (no need to swing the tapping stick hard or it will break as it is no stronger or weaker than the RR original case)

In the photos I didn't spot that there were two little plastic upstand pins on the half of the clam shell that has the buttons. These got in the way of my circuit board seating properly so I had to remove them with bullnose pliers, and after that it went together fine. Works perfectly and seems to be good quality.

Seems hit and miss as to whether or not the metal part from your original key fits.. If it doesn’t see the below picture and just nip it up in a vice. Don’t go overly tight just literally up against the case and metal and a small turn till you see it move. The rest of the key is quite sturdy although the little key ring is a bit inadequate so swap it out for your oem keys one. There is no rubber section in this one so make sure to take yours out and reuse too it just pulls out not stuck down or anything. Overall perfectly fine but 3* for the finicky stuff.
