Aesthetically pleasing, but not the greatest buttons.
I, like a few other reviewers, wanted a acia lunar scale, but couldn't justify the price. So when I saw this new Timemore scale pop up, I jumped on it since it was more than half the price, and looked similar. It definitely looks cool, but as others have pointed out the buttons lack any tactile feedback, and you just have to hope you actually pressed it. If the scale is on a surface that it doesn't grip that well, and doesn't have any weight on it, most of the time you try to hit the tare button it just slides, and if you try to hold it in between say your index and hit the button with your thumb the scale thinks you're putting weight on it, so it won't work.Compared to the tiny cheap scale in the picture it definitely updates the weight faster, and seems to be exactly the same in terms of accuracy, but the cheap one cost maybe 15 dollars at most. The only advantage I found is in how fast it updates the weight, which is nice when you're using it to time/dial in shots. Oh and it fits on my brevilles drip tray a bit better. If this scale was 20-40 dollars at most I'd say it would be worth it, but at 100 dollars I wouldn't buy it again as it really doesnt offer any functionality over cheaper options.

Good 👍🏻

Too Sensitive and Finicky to be Useful
I wanted to like this scale as it was a the perfect size, well built, and much less than the other known espresso scale. However, it is too sensitive and the buttons on the side make it difficult and annoying to use. The scale doesn't grip the counter well enough, so it slides when you press the buttons, the numbers jump around and I ran out of patience. I want an easy to use, straight forward scale that does not have user interface problems. Unfortunately I am returning this scale after using it just one morning.

Really wanted to love it but ...
This scale has a few things going for it. It looks well built, is small and affordable compared to the other brand (you know which one). However, a few things that kinda suck.- it's small but not small enough to use as an shot scale on a GB5. Like literally a few millimeters too big. I feel like this is something that should've been tested as the GB5 is ubiquitous in the coffee industry.- placement of the buttons on the side is annoying and doesn't feel intuitive. It's still a great deal and works fine, but if I had the funds, I'd just buy a bunch of Acaia scales and be done with it.

It's certainly a nice scale but with issues.
The side buttons are very fiddly and I find myself constantly hitting them unintentionally when moving it around. Other than that it's accurate and fast. Way easier to operate out of the box than the lunar scale which my friend has.

Using for espresso shots
I’m using this scale to measure out my grinds and shots- it works well! I somewhat use the shot timer, but my machine has a timer on it also, so I don’t use the shot timer on the scale that much. I haven’t had to recharge it yet in several months of use- haven’t consistently used for this whole time but it clearly can hold a charge.

cute
really nice size, weight is good and feels substantial. The rechargeable battery lasts forever. I don't really use the timer function or flow rate, but tried it out and it works ok, my uses only demands the weight function. Purchase it when it's 20-30% for a worthy buy.

¡¡¡¡PÉSIMO NO RECOMENDABLE!!!! Además, no sé cómo reclamar la garantía con el fabricante o proveedor (no amazon).

Love and Hate but rather disappointing experience
TLDR; Tried to literally TEACH my wife how to use it and she laughed at me and doesn’t even want to hear it… hence the thoughts below after 3 weeks…First - manual for this doesn’t even exist at Timemore website… binned the paperwork as “it’s just a scale” right… big mistake, it seem to be harder to find usage instructions for it than recipe for coca cola… you may end up with 3 click or 5 click version so just you know. Is it genuine not sure… as doesn’t exist on producers website… Basically I want to find manual just to make sure I am not going insane as its so counter intuitive and awkward to use.Ok it looks and feels nice and that’s about it… bought to use smart features and ease up the workflow - barely delivered even basic functions. So lets get to it, the TOUCH BUTTONS are the first and foremost annoying experience ever - there is this really really noticeable lag between button tap and scale action, making it impossible to use without even more annoying too loud beep. Positioning of the buttons on opposite front sides makes lifting the scale or positioning it clunky or tricky as well, often unintentionally moving and sliding. The 3 BUTTON workflow can switch you between 3 modes: Regular, Pour over and Espresso (ESP). Its indistinguishable whether you are on Normal or Pour over but ESP is 3 taps away (EVERY TIME at least 3 taps away) with as you may guessed it ESP written on it (at least first few seconds). So you bought this for Espresso and weighted your beans in Normal mode and need to 3xTap to go Pour over then 3xTap to go ESP - why you’d ask! Because the ESP has this “smart” feature you are after the AUTO TARE and AUTO START which basically prevents you from weighing your beans for grinding as after each bean it will “think” you put a cup and will tare scale for you. So ok you need 3xTap go back to Normal Mode to weigh your beans and 6xTap (actually 2x3Taps to be precise) to return to ESP which in fairness after it registers anything over 0.5g of coffee drops will kick of timer automagically (most of the time) - but only after it AUTO tare your cup! Can you make it start auto timer without tare - nope, at least I don’t know how and definitely not it ESP mode. The Regular Mode is “dumb” you need to tap “buttons” to tare and time yet it doesn’t offer option to turn on auto time so it could register droplets going in and timing your shot/pour you’ll need to tap - thankfully once! For the most part the measurements are accurate compared to my “drug dealer” type of scale I’ve used earlier. I’ve experienced few times issue where I had to turn off the scale as it wouldn’t zero out grams and kept “dancing” number up and down. Ah did I mention that to tare its tap and hold… but not too long as it’ll sleep. The Pour over will count you in as 3.. 2.. 1.. POUR! This is something I don’t plan to use but for those who do there is a bonus! Yup all new fancy exclusive tap button…. The THIRD button… all it does it shows flow rate and weigh - thats it!So why and what is really wrong? Personally I think it was rushed in on a success of its older bigger Black Mirror sister. The most frustrating part if that it could’ve been perfect yet it isn’t, potentially due to lack of taking into account user feedback and ease of use over “features on paper” and good looking design. If someone from Timemore listens below are some suggestions:- Make the THIRD button mode function specific i.e. Regular - Auto Time, Pour Over - Flow Rate, ESP - Normal Scale for weighing your beans!!! I Can live with 3 taps as long as you don’t force me to change mode - it should represent and deliver full workflow and required functions.- I am aware that some earlier releases had 5 Tap functions luckily I have 3! Yet still this 3 tap, 1 tap and tap-hold is really bad when there is no feedback from the button or physical way to feel it (other then indent in the shell) plus the annoying beep (can it be a touch more discrete?)- Since the scale cannot be used while charging can you make this Silicone Pad bend on the opposite side to protect the USB-C from spills? It doesn’t do anything on this side.- This little wireless symbol on the display while it turns on? Obviously it doesn’t connect with anything but could you make it too? Can you make firmware update or potentially make it programable - I know its huge but I’d rather spend 2 days setting it up that triple tapping for the rest of my.. it’s life.I believe 99% of my bad experience is software not hardware based. The device has loads of potential yet a bit poor execution and this frustrates the most - it could easily be the go to scale. It’s expensive product and I am still try to convince myself if its really worth it - it looks nice for sure but does it deliver on coffee enthusiast experience of a “smart” scale? I doubt it. Ah did I mention its not waterproof, resistant etc? So no it is not and remember not leave it on your Espresso machine when purging that steam.

A scale that can't weigh
Lovely looking scale, fits well on driptray and cheeper than acaia scales...However, constant creep in both directions. Likely to do with temperature, despite using the rubber mat supplied and a rated temperature range of -20c > 100c.When warm (eg brewing v60) would creep up by .1g every few seconds continuously. When cooling after v60 would creep down continuously. Problem was repeatable only when tared and weight added (e.g. tare v60 once preheated, add coffee = weight starts creeping). Creep is continuous even when object removed from scale, with the minus numbers continuing to creep in the same direction. What good is a scale that continually changes its definition of any particular weight?Probably a quality control issue but at £90 this is unacceptable, not prepared to keep playing lottery until I get a scale that can do it's one basic function. Returned and looking for another option.
