Nice little pump with a few minor issues but great value
I'm really pleased with these powerheads. When I moved to the BioCube 32 (from the 29) and decided to add some basic corals, I knew I'd need better flow than the return pump (upgraded to Cobalt MJ900) and Hydor Koralia Nano 240 I had in the 29, and was leaning toward adding the next size up Koralia. My two main hesitations were the somewhat large size of the Koralia, and the faint but clearly audible "click" sound they make when they start up (which would get annoying if set up to alternate off and on).I saw a few people in various reef forums mention the Jebao wavemakers, and upon further research decided to give them a try. I'm glad I purchased two of them, as although one may have sufficed for my tank, I like the more turbulent flow options that comes from having two of them. They are in opposing back corners of the tank, and are both set to a bit higher than half speed, in the confusingly-named "else" mode, which randomly alters the speeds of the pumps (using the speed you set by the speed button as the baseline, and using the dial to adjust how often the flow changes).Other modes allow for simple continuous flow, a few different pulsing wave making options, and alternating between two pumps. There is a wireless master/slave mode that links units so that settings on one are automatically applied to the other (though speed can still be set independently on each), but I've elected to not use it, as I think the only real benefit would be in syncing the two pumps in the alternating mode.Physically, the powerheads are pleasingly small, about golf ball size, and are easily adjustable to just about any direction you would need. They are very quiet, even on high speed, though I should mention one caveat. One of the pumps was noticeably louder than the other, and I was planning on exchanging it. But after popping the cover off and removing / reinstalling the impeller, it's perfectly quiet now (I guess perhaps the impeller was not seated properly?).A few nitpicks. The night mode, which is supposed to slow the pumps down when the light sensor detects the tank lights have gone out, did not work in my setup. The controllers are attached to the side of the upper end of the stand (near the bottom of the tank), and simply can't "see" when the lights come on. My hope was that the increase in ambient light reflected off the nearby wall would be enough to trigger it, but it is not. It's not a deal-killer, as I'm on the fence as to whether or not a reduced flow at night is necessary or even desirable. The second nitpick involves certain settings (from what I can tell, night mode and wireless) not being retained when power is cycled. This would be especially troublesome if I did want to use these two features, since I have my Reefkeeper Lite set to shut these pumps off when in standby mode for feeding. However, with how I'm using them, it's not an issue, since the flow mode and speed settings ARE retained through a power cycle.Regardless, I'd still rate this 5 stars, deducting a half point or so for those relatively minor shortcomings, but rounding up for the sake of sheer value.

Works great when it wants to.
The pump and controller are great- when they spin the right way. Randomly for seemingly no reason ill notice the pump will spin the wrong way and the only way to fix it is to take it apart and for some reason the fixes it for a little bit. You might think oh it needs to be cleaned but every time I've taken it apart there is nothing to clean, no algae no build up of anything just taking the rotor and and out fixes the issue. It's extremely frustrating to always have to check and fix this issue.

Too strong for LPS and 15g. And malfunctioning.
I set this one on my 15g and my Hammers Coral don't like it. Also, the features was not working properly. Look high all the time.

Using in a Fluval Evo 13.5 gallon reef tank
So far this wave maker is working great though I've only had it a little over a week.It is MUCH higher powered than the Hydor Koralia wave maker I was using before and controllable. The only reason I didn't buy this wave maker instead of the Hydor to begin with, is because of the negative reviews, however recently I purchased a larger 60 gallon cube that came with 2 used Jebao's that have been working flawlessly. I was never satisfied with the output of the Hydor, so that's why I "upgraded".I'm really liking the feed mode which shuts power off for 10 minutes before automatically returning to it's normal setting and night mode which cuts the speed down after dark.I do find it louder than the Hydor but not bothersome by any means (couldn't hear the Hydor at all).Time will tell if it continues to function correctly, I will update this review accordingly.3/6/2019- Still loving this little wave maker. The feed button has worn through (hole in the plastic over it) but it still works. However one of the old used ones I bought with a tank has quit (unknown how old it was) I more than likely will replace it with another of these as they are such great value for the money.

Great value - Strong pump
The media could not be loaded. I bought this Jebao for a 13 gallon office nano. I wanted the nano to have a few corals and a couple of Scarlett Skunk Shrimp. The tank went through several weeks of cycling before I added two Duncans and a shroom along with the skunks. This pump is awesome. It gives the coral just the right amount of flow and I can easily adjust it throughout the day. The feed mode is great and easy to activate and the night time mode keeps everything subtle until I get back in the morning and crank it back up.

Simple to use
Instructions are pretty straight foward and this seems well built. I would still suggest cleaning with citric acid on a regular schedule for the longest life.

Works well for what I need it for
I have a 65 gallon long reef tank with a gyre fan that does most of the work, but I needed something to take care of a couple of dead spots directly under the gyre fan, where I have a large coral that likes flow. This little fan did the trick. It’s compact, and hardly noticeable, and the controls work well. I currently have it on the 2nd lowest setting and it created good turbulence without kicking up the sand. It’s perfect for a small nano tank and just small enough to not be an eyesore in a larger tank. I’d recommend.

Broke after 11.5 months
Its not the strogest. Its about the bottom end you need for a saltwater 29 gallon tank. At 8 months I stared having issues and I did maintenance on it every 4-6 weeks. The pump finally crapped out at 11.5 months. I have another fixed speed pump I bought at the same time and still never had an issue with it 13 months later. I changed to the vortex 10 with an external motor and have never looked back. Now only 1 pump needed.

Near perfect but has design flaw
Perfect pump for a small13gal reef aquarium. It has a design flaw tho. You have to take the propeller out and remove excess plastic/glue to balance it properly. Otherwise it vibrates too loudly. Take a sharp nice to it and it’ll work great!
