Amazon Brand – Pinzon Hypoallergenic Overfilled Microplush Mattress Topper - Twin

I spent 2 weeks researching mattress pads b4 buying one. We were having a memory foam mattress delivered & I wanted all my bedding delivered on the same day. So I spent some time going thru prob 300 of these on Amazon. I am VERY critical of bedding bc I am partially disabled & often confined to bed. I have lupus, which includes entire body, connective tissue & muscle pain, arthritis, constant fevers, & hot flashes from some of my lupus meds. I keep my thermostat @ 67 degrees, I'm that hot. Having said this, these were my needs for a mattress pad, cool, breathable, very soft, and able to retain shape, as well as lasting endurance from some1 who is in bed alot. My mattress is pure memory foam with a cooling gel mattress topper on an adjustable motion bed which stays mostly in a lounging position & rarely flat. Size Cal king. The top of this pad is the silky plush, like many of the new baby blankets are made of. You can feel the silk thru a nice cotton medium thick sheet. The topper is COOL, COOL, & COOL. You will get some warmth from laying in one spot for a period of time, esp if your're on memory foam, but I had no heat flashes or perspiration. The padding is THICK. Not overly so, but enough to give very adequate separation from memory foam, @ least 2 inch. The padding is unique, it isn't lumpy, doesn't shift, & you can't feel the fibers beneath you as with traditional Toppers. Its more of a sheath of padding rather than individual squares, altho it is sewn into individual squares. The comfort was beyond amazing, & I'm rarely pleased in this fashion. It was a fantastic feeling. The pad did flatten some over time, I found putting in the dryer on no heat fluff or just low heat setting with a fresh dryer sheet for 15 min would return to original fluff and fresh smell. The fitted skirt is made from a thick, silky polyester material with a nice elastic around entire skirt. My only problem, the skirt is extra deep! It would be fine for any mattress that lies flat bc you can just tuck it under, but with my bed in motion, it would slide @ the top some, & I kept pulling back & retucking it. So I gave it to my brother who has similar health issues for his flat bed, now he's in bliss & I'm stuck with a nightmare of a new topper that I ordered, that fits ok, but I'm on fire & it isn't soft. So after I write this review, I'm going to buy another one of these!!!! And maybe I can use mattress straps to hold in place. Amazon makes great products, I also use this pinzon brand in the cotton sheets & they too, are wonderful, soft & cool. In all honesty, this pad won't make a rock hard mattress soft & pliable, you need a memory foam topper for that, but it WILL cool down a hot bed, & it will immensely soften a comfortable bed. I don't like the "cloud feeling" description bc I don't know any1 who has slept on an actual cloud, lol. But, it does have the luxury hotel bed feeling, AND it helped cut down my pain levels, which is so worth the price. I think any1 needing to fit my similar needs in a mattress pad will be very pleased with this one! Also the new pad I bought was twice the price, & its horrible for me, which proves that pricey products doesn't always mean better comfort

I have an old mattress that needs replaced, but I'm not ready to spend the money yet and bought this as a temporary fix. Before buying I looked at various mattress pads and pillowtops, read all the reviews and compared prices, and determined this would be a middle-of-the-road way to go. In my situation, this pad is perfect; it covers the springs that were poking me before and has given me a soft layer of comfort. I am sleeping much better and enjoying my bed because of it. For a mattress pad, it delivers the added advantage of comfort--but it is not a pillowtop, and if that is the type of comfort and luxury you are looking for, you need to set your sights a little higher and be prepared to spend more money. Know what you're buying and what is the difference between items. This is a high end mattress pad, not a low end pillowtop.Regarding the fit: I have the opposite problem of most consumers, as my queen-size mattress is not deep (it's only 9" high). After reading the reviews, I was worried that the queen pad would not fit snugly enough, so I actually bought the full-size pad and it fits good. The filled part of the pad doesn't quite reach the edge of my mattress (it comes up short maybe 1.5"), but this does not effect me as I don't sleep on the very edge. It stretched enough to cover my mattress and does not slide around, so I am very happy with the fit--especially since I saved some money by buying a size smaller.Overall, this mattress pad worked perfectly in regard to fit and comfort, and I have so far been very pleased.Jan 12 2017One year later and I am still using this "temporary" solution to my old mattress, with just a little decrease in quality. I have cold water washed and air fluffed before hanging to dry--never applied heat when washing--which, according to previous reviews, has helped prevent the pad from falling apart. Because I tend to sleep in the same spot every night, the pad has become a bit compressed and less "fluffy" where I usually lay, but still provides some relief from the poky springs of my old mattress.I stand by my original assessment: for a mattress pad, this product does a great job. But if you are expecting more luxury, be prepared to spend more on a quality pillowtop.December 2018:About a year ago I finally upgraded to a new mattress. I am still using this cover, which has been washed as described above, and after almost 3 years, it has held up well.

I recently traded in my 15 year old mattress and box spring for a new far less expensive pillow top mattress. I just could not afford a top of the line set with my current budget. So, I wanted an extra layer to make the most out of my new mattress. Plus, I work out a lot and am getting up there in age, so my body aches a lot more than it used to. Quality sleep is a major priority for me. Well, after much debate and reading all of the reviews, I decided on this mattress pad and I am so glad I did. It is like adding a memory foam mattress on top of my already comfortable pillow top. The combination is that I get AN AMAZING NIGHTS SLEEP EVERY NIGHT!!! The foam conforms to my every body contour, but still offers great support whether I sleep on my back or side . I have NEVER slept better in my life thanks to this mattress pad. I wake up with absolutely no stiffness, joint pain or aches. I would never sleep without this pad and have even taken it with me a few times when I stayed over at a friends house where I knew their guest bed was lousy. It does make a difference, a BIG difference in comfort and support. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I ordered Queen and it does not fit my Queen mattress. It is 3" too short in length and 2" too short on each side in terms of width (so a total of 4" short in width). However, I slept on it, fell in love and since I live alone, I am not really bothered. I am sure the King would be too big and need to be trimmed. So my advice to supplier/manufacturer is to improve so that it is the correct dimensions of the mattress it is intended to fit. So, Comfort = 5 Stars, Fit/Size = 3 Stars for an average of 4 Stars.

I just slept on this last night for the first time and here's my take.First thing's first: this thing is pretty thin. I got confused by the pictures on thought it was a lot bigger than it is. What you see in the pictures is actually this mat with its fitted sheet around a full mattress. It will add a bit of height but it's still pretty thin. That's not necessarily such a bad thing, however.It stays on pretty well with the fitted sheet which is attached to the mat itself. Just make sure you really wrap it around far and it should be good. It might wrinkle a tiny bit under your sheets but it's pretty minor.It adds a noticeable softness to your mattress. It's not going to turn a hard mattress into a soft one, though. It's still just a layer on top so it's not going to add any sinking feeling. Just a bit of cushion on top.Seeing as how thin it actually is, I'm not sure if my bed really needed it. However, with the 35% off Prime discount I got, I'd still consider it a worthwhile purchase.

This is a very substantial mattress protector. The underside of it is not the best material for long time wear. However, My main reason for returning it is that it is so well padded I can not wash it , it is just too bulky for my washing machine. I do not have bedding I cannot wash, we have visitors and these are for our guest bedroom.

It's a nice addition for sure, and at a really reasonable price! I got it for my pretty uncomfortable twin bed and it helps a little bit, although not as much as I had hoped based on the reviews. Feels fluffy for sure, but doesn't add much actual extra softness to sink into when put on top of a hard mattress!

Very nice mattress pad. Bought it to go on a very hard bed and unfortunately it is not soft enough to make the bed comfortable for my back. So I ended up buying a memory foam topper which made the difference. But I will use this mattress cover on another bed. It's deep enough to accommodate a very thick mattress.
