Poulan Pro PR25PS, 8 in. 25cc 2-Cycle Gas Pole Saw

When I first received this pole saw I thought that it had a rubber mounted engine due to the wobble where the engine attaches to the pole itself. Boy was I wrong. The engine had a half broken bracket where it attached and could have seriously hurt me because when it decided to break....about 5 minutes into using it the very first time, the shaft broke and the engine kicked back really hard. I was using the saw overhead at the time at about a 30ish degree angle. Any higher, or had I been on a ladder I could have lost my balance and fell. As it so happened, I was wearing all of my protective gear (LIKE EVERYONE SHOULD DO EVERY TIME YOU USE POWER TOOLS, ESPECIALLY CHAINSAWS ON A 10 FOOT POLE!!) so I was unharmed.I called Amazon and they sent out a replacement rather quickly and this time it worked perfectly and am very happy with it. I have also ordered the edger attachment so I'm looking forward to using it.I have used the new pole saw for somewhere around 10 hours and have trimmed nearly 30 trees with it and it has worked flawlessly. I think this is a good piece of equipment to have in any garage where you have more than a tree or two. With the added benefit that you can add attachments to this engine, it's worth the price to me. Also, I think that as pole saws go, this one blasts through a lot of small to medium sized limbs in a very short amount of time helping me to get my honeydo list completed much faster.This would be a 5 star review if the first one didn't arrive broken.

Well I have to say that even though there were several bad reviews on this product I had to try it out for myself.........First of all I have never owned a pole saw so cannot compare with any other brand but hey, I was buying one to get a job done and trim my tree. We've had three severe storms in my area in less than four months. This is just what I needed to cut storm debris into manageable chunks for disposal. The unit assembled really easily and started right up. Runs smoothly once you get it warmed up. The extra extension bar is too much unless you have a real need for it. Great for light-duty use.

A little heavy and awkward but very easy assembly, starting and function. Trimmed over 25 Crepe myrtals and two large pine trees on same blade. Highly recommended.

Heavier than expected but works well, easy to start.

I received the pruner but it was missing the trimmer and chain reshaping file guide as advertised on Amazon. Poulan was of no help in resolving the problem. They said since it was Amazon there was no telling who made have opened the box before I got it. The way the equipment was packed there would be no room for anything other then the basic poll chain saw and extensions. What are YOU going to do about it.

I bought this awhile back, and have been delighted with it. Just spent 4 hrs cutting limbs and bamboo along a fence line, and it did what I bought it for. Just about all my gas powered yard tools are now Poulan.

The Poulan pole saw has worked great for pruning limbs from several trees. I have found that the saw doesn't reach high enough as I really need but a saw with that capability is too cost prohibitive. The saw has worked well for every tree limb I have used it to cut.
