Bought this humidifier based on NYT Wirecutter recommendation. My bedroom is particularly dry over the winter time, so I needed something to bring the humidity level up. This humidifier works great. Easy to set up and run. My bedroom is about 12 x 15 with a cathedral ceiling, and the machine successfully raises the humidity from 30-35% to 45-50% and keeps it at that level over the 8 hours I'm sleeping. I fill the tank with a gallon of distilled water, and I'm able to run it about 2 nights before the water runs out. The noise level is noticeable when it is on, but not very loud. I usually run a white noise machine at night anyway which completely covers any sound the humidifier makes. I do recommend using the heated steam setting over the winter as it seems to make the room more comfortable. As for cleaning, I've had the humidifier about a month, and I've just been emptying the tank every 2 days, taking it apart (which is quite easy), wiping down the parts with a microfiber cloth, and then letting it air dry over the course of the day. That seems to work well. I do plan on doing a deeper cleaning after a month probably following the recommendations made by Wirecutter for how to do that. You have the option to use essential oils if you want to try aromatherapy, however, I've not tried that, and I'm not sure how healthy that would be for overnight use. You can use an app with the machine which gives you better control over the machine (like finer grain control of humidity settings and options to turn off display), but it's not required. It is pretty easy to set up, and I like being able to use the app on my phone to control it from bed when needed. If you need a humidifier, I highly recommend it.

We had this marvelous humidifier less than a year when it had a very small leak at the base. We thought, "Oh, well. C'est la vive." We put paper towels under it. But on a whim, we contacted the company via email. The reply was immediate. After a few back and forths, we sent pictures of the leak. The final request was a photo of the bottom of the base with the cord cut. This a smart company. Guess what: they sent us a brand new replacement. You cannot find this kind of service or warranty any more. It holds a lot of water, always distilled. So easy to fill. And most effective. We see there is a sale now. Snatch it up.

Good unit, easier to clean than most. I especially like the warm mist option. BUT, the humidifier is very inaccurate and the machine will shut down because it thinks the level is too high. The override (thanks Google) is to hold the power button down for 10 to 15 seconds.

It’s quiet, the design is sleek and practical, it’s easy to use with a variety of adjustable settings, perfect size tank for both day/night hours. Love that the mist can be turned in different directions. Clearly high quality. Very happy with the purchase.

Very quiet and reliable. The app notifies me when the tank needs to be refilled and when it is time to clean the humidifier. Overall very happy with the design and function.

I live in an condo that gets dry in the winter. Sore throat, dry skin, and static-y carpet is a common occurrence. Specifically, my unit is held at 72F with central heating, and humidity bottoms out at 30% as measured by my smart thermostat. I bought this humidifier to try to bump that humidity up to 40-50%. Does this unit work? Yes. But there are some issues: 1. If you use tap water, it will spray white calcium into the air. Even if your water is soft, there's still enough calcium to cause problems after a few days. Filtered water is recommended. I knew about this and used filtered water exclusively, though obviously that's another added cost to consider. With the way I use this unit, I can go through 1 gallon in 24 hours. 2. The built in humidistat is located somewhere in the rear of the unit. It will artificially read high, especially if you twist one of the spray nozzle and point it towards the back. You'll see the number rise quickly and go "Wow, this thing HAS JUICE" when in actuality, the real humidity of your room will go up by barely a couple of %. I kept the dual nozzles pointed forward, and even so, I found the actual room humidity to be 10% lower than what this unit was reading. This leads to the next problem: 3. This unit is not strong enough to comfortably boost the humidity of my room. It is advertised to have a 753 sq ft coverage, but I'm not sure how that number was calculated. I move this unit between my combined kitchen/living space that's about 450 sq ft, and a bedroom that's 300 sq ft. This unit cannot drive the humidity of my kitchen/living space beyond 40%, even on max output. It IS strong enough to boost humidity to 50% in my bedroom, but given how small my bedroom is, it better. That being said, I don't hate this product. Problem #1 to #3 are common to many ultrasonic humidifiers. Would I like the humidity in my rooms to be higher? Sure. But even at 38-39%, it's noticeably more comfortable than 30%. This unit is well built and has useful features; I don't want to buy a bigger, more expensive unit that might be more inconsistent in terms of build quality. So I'm keeping this, despite it's flaws. EDIT: I used this for the entire winter. The flaws above still apply, but I'm going to add one more to the list: 4. Cleaning this thing is a nightmare. There are, no lie, a dozen pieces. I'll enclose a picture for demonstration. Most of them have bends, slits, and crevices that you can't get a cloth or a sponge into. I cleaned it whenever the humidifier was off for more than a few days (to prevent mildew) and right before I packed it up at the end of winter. Each time was a pain in the rear. It's doable but definitely watch a online video before attempting to take this thing apart. That being said, this unit did its job throughout the winter. I'm happy with it, and I'm looking forward to using it again next winter.

We have been using this humidifier for a couple years. It works well, and refills nicely. I can stick my man hand into it for cleaning (from time to time). It's a good size and capacity, quite, and reliable.

Je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat. Il vous donne le taux d'humidité actuel ainsi qu'une courbe de ce taux au cours de la journée, hyper pratique. De plus, un réservoir externe permet aussi l'utilisation d'huiles essentielles ! Le prix vaut vraiment le coup selon moi :)

Comprato per umidificare delle piante da interno svolge pienamente la sua funzione: serbatoio molto capiente, app intuitiva e comoda per gestirlo, semplice l'allineamento alla rete. Crea un livello di umidità perfetto per le mie piante che apprezzano il microclima creato dal Levoit. Preso ad un buon prezzo, semplice la manutenzione, ottimo il funzionamento, la sua gestione e la possibilità di settarlo (nebbia calda e fredda). Davvero consigliatissimo.
