I was surprised because I have bought many other storage racks and thought this would be similar - - it is not . The rack components are easily bent . Difficult to put together without damaging the " tongues " I was going to use it to store paint but it is perhaps better suited to store cotton balls . I'm sorry , I don't mean to be cruel . It is just not what I expected .

Shipped via FedEx although not prime. Installation took a couple of hours and relatively simple. Installation instruction however was useless. Not the highest quality but does what it supposed to do. Five stars because it exceeded my expectation.

It's just the right balance of design and materials, all of which is "good enough." The metal and plywood would both be considered very flimsy on their own, but at these shelf dimensions and with this building design/style, it works.I would buy these again, but only for my purpose: miscellaneous basement item storage. I wouldn't count on any kind of very heavy or industrial use. My shelves are currently packed with things.A bonus is the shelves are also attractive, for utility-style shelves.

Not sure what they mean when they say HEAVY DUTY.... They are not built for the weight they advertise and are not very sturdy shelf with thin boards they provided. I would of returned them but missed the cut off by 2 weeks do to weather issues, so unfortunately the company would not honor my complaint and now i am stuck with them. I purchased them to store heavy items such as rock samples and tools on them instead they will be housing lighter items.

These shelves are great for my basement storage solutions. For the price i paid, i wasnt expecting much and i knew the "wood" part would be thin. But after putting them together, i found them to be quite sturdy. No tools are required but having a mallet did make it bit easier. I bought 2 sets of 3 shelves but after seeing the quality and ease of assembly, i may get another set. Just know what your getting, and you wont be disappointed

These storage racks go together easily and are sturdier than expected when saw shelf thickness. Ordered 8 for one storage unit to keep organized and worked well enough that added 8 more to another unit. The first one took about 30 min but after did it the others were down to about 15 min each. Rubber mallet really helps and they include gloves that I highly recommend using. There are bars that support under each shelf which are why able to hold the weight stated. Great product overall.

other 1-star reviewers are correct. it's very thin both framing and the shelves. I found a better quality and price at homedepot. all 5 shelves stacked together were about the same thickness as ONE of the shelves of the new set that I got.

These are large sturdy shelves, priced appropriately.You do have to tap the shelf supports down with a rubber mallet to make strong connections (suggested in the directions). Comes with gloves to protect your hands during assembly.Mine were sent it two shipments, but they arrived promptly and look great in my garage.
