Install is easy. Getting the old one out...
Straightforward install instructions. Simple mechanism that does what it needs to do. Works like a charm 2 months later.A couple of things though...It does take quite a few false starts to get going (especially if your car is parked on an incline like mine was... damn gravity), just keep cranking the engine with a couple sprays of some good ol starter fluid and then boom! Time to cruise.Getting the old pump out takes some serious elbow grease and of it's gonna be a little messy. Get a big hammer, a big flat-head screwdriver and let out all of your pent-up rage on that lock ring. Also, it's in the trunk on the Lesabre... Good ol Buick, gotta love em!

Great Replacement Pump for a 2003 Buick LeSabre
I installed this fuel pump for a 2003 Buick LeSabre and the fit was perfect. The pump comes with almost everything you need in order to install it in your vehicle, including: gaskets, a fuel vapor sensor (black thing on top of pump), a new wiring harness (you'll have to splice it into your old one), and the necessary wire connectors. The only other thing I would recommend you buy in addition is the fuel pump locking ring (less than $10) because my original one was completely rusted shut. It require a lot of bashing with a hammer to get out so save yourself the trouble and get a new one of those.Installation was pretty easy and the hardest part as I mentioned above was removing the old locking ring. The wires for the new wire connect do need to be stripped more than what is already pre-cut so make sure to do that to get a good contact.I'll update if anything changes but so far, a great pump for a great price.

2001 Bonneville compatible - 99% direct replacement.
Just installed this in a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville. you can expect it to be a 99% direct replacement. you WILL have to do some re-wiring as this fuel-pump has a different electrical connector than the OEM pump. The new connector is included in the box, though.due to this fact, you will have 2 options:1. do what everyone else does and cut the old factory connector off (from the car's wring harness) and replace it with provided connector.2. do what I did and once the old pump is out; take the connector that sits on top of the OEM pump (the female-end that the OEM connector plugs into) off and wire THAT female-end connector to the newly, provided connector. there are 2 tabs (1 red and 1 grey) that can be pulled out from the underside of the female-end connector to release it. and then use a small screwdriver to gently pry it out from the top of the pump. what all this allows you to do it KEEP your factory harness intact and un-modified. you know.... just in case. Just mind your wire colors. they will be slightly different. youtube vids will help with that.once everything is wired-up, i do recommend turning the car to the "ON" position and listen to see if the pump engages (which sounds like a hum or buzz) BEFORE installing it completely. but remember, sparks and gasoline DO NOT mix, so be smart if you choose to do this. don't make yourself a Darwin Award Candidate over this.

Decent product for price. Recommended.
(2000 Buick LeSabre V6)Appears to be a good quality product. It fit. Had to replace OEM plug with plug supplied which is finicky but not rocket science. Three gaskets shown in photos, but there were only two in my package, and neither fit my application. Retaining ring in car was extremely rusted, but existing gasket below it was in excellent shape, and I re-used it. No problem. Another reviewer suggested buying a new retainer ring and that was good advice since not much was left of mine by the time I got it off. Getting that ring off will probably be the hardest part of this job, but it WILL come off with enough persuasion.General Motors GM Genuine Parts TR7 Fuel Tank Sending Unit Lock Ring

Good price
Seems to be working, gas gauge acting up though. Will read level in tank and then drop to empty after few seconds.

So far so good
I first wrote a negative review on the product after I installed the fuel pump and my car wouldn’t start. After double checking my lines, the car started right up, is idling smoother, and isnt smelling gas like it was.
