Great kit for a kid!
I bought this for my son who was trying to build his first small computer. This little kit comes with everything needed and it is kid friendly. My son was able to put it all together with the help of the directions. It is a cost efficient kit for a kid that loves STEM!

Great compact PCs.
I love these micro PCs. I use them in every room for Media/PCs. Even set one up for the camper when it's raining to watch movies from.

Worth the Cost.
The case assembles around the Pi easily and even comes with a magnetic mini-Philips screwdriver to do the job. It functions without trouble. You do need to download the latest operating system onto the provided micro XD chip, though--which is not difficult at all. Good value for the cost. I'll be using it for data transfer for my HAM radio system; if I ever get a weather station that does RF/WiFi communication with an indoor computer, I'll probably get another one of these to handle the load.

Amazing gadget
Everything needed is included in this kit to make it work, excepting an HDMI monitor, USB keyboard and mouse. Amazing, and with 8 Gb of RAM too! It runs the 64-bit Ubuntu desktop and server along with a huge plethora of available Ubuntu/open-source Linux programs and software tools. Using a 13" HDMI WaveShare monitor, it provides dazzling desktop video resolution. It isn't as fast as, say, an Intel desktop machine, but there's always a tradeoff between speed and power consumption, size and heat dissipation limitations. It's great way to learn to setup a multi-server cluster, or any other programming/IT learning endeavor or to deploy small-size embedded controller applications.

Would definitely buy again, but one thing you should know...
Would definitely buy again, but one thing you should know... I am a Boomer who enjoys playing with small, new tech like this. Couple this with YT tutorials and some help from on line AI chat and you have an awesome and fun project on your hands. (I am using mine to seed some of my video archives.) One thing you should know... - the case on mine does not snap together and hold securely. Rather the top more fits on the top but is able to be bumped off easily. This is not a big deal for me - I simply have it sitting on a shelf doing it's thing. But if you are going to use this in any sort of mobile way you need to be aware.

no boot after 2 months
a few days ago I noticed the device wasnt booting after less than 2 months of use. The screen said it couldnt find the SD port. When I went to verify the SD card was fully seated, the SD port burned me. It was so hot that it left a mark on my finger. The device does a POST so it isnt dead but it cannot find the SD port. The device is useless and I cant afford to buy another at the over inflated prices these days much less even find one anymore. *******************updated review********************* turns out it wasn't the SD slot on the board but the actual SD card causing the problem. I replaced the SD card and all works well and does not get hot.

Nice rpi
I bought this to build a pihole. Had zero experience with rpis but this was drop dead easy to assemble and get a raspberry pi OS installed. The only caveat was everything was set to UK English and I am in the US. Could be that I installed the wrong locale also. Bad part was I didn’t figure this out until I had to SSH into it and couldn’t. But I digress…This was my first foray into rpis and was far easier than I thought. Recommended!

Extra things not required.
I just wanted the pi 4 board, but it helps to have the power supply and the micro HDMI cable for testing purposes.
