Does a nice job when removing paint
I had to remove paint from some old boards that I wanted to reuse as floorboards since they were thicker than 3/4 of an inch as many old floor boards are. This did a really nice job of stripping the paint from the boards.

Works great for stripping rust
Works great for stripping rust. Cleaned up workshop power tool beds with it. So far a tablesaw, jointer, lathe and a small steel work benchtop. About time to order another one. It's done a lot of surface area so far and still a little life left in it. Leaves a nice surface for waxing or guide coat. I might try the wire wheel next to see how it does.

Highly recommend for removing thick paint and varnish
We moved into an log home that had a lot of buildup of varnish and paint.. Previously I used and loved Mirka Abranet 60 grit on my orbital sander to cut through the gunk. This Restorer Paint and Rust Remover Roller Wheel reduced the time by half. Highly recommend.

Much more durable than I thought it would be!
Bought this to remove rust and paint from a vintage Vespa and I can't believe how well it works. Busts right through rust, paint, and body filler. Is much tougher than I thought it was going to be. Hit many sharp edges and several screws poking through and it didn't hurt it at all. Makes a great addition to the sandpaper that came with the tool.

Paint gone in less than two minutes!
Wow, I can't get over what an amazing job this product does. In less than two minutes I had removed 8 or more layers of paint that had been on for 50+ years!

Not the best for removing automotive paint / rust
Used this on my 79 blazer bed to remove paint after using aircraft paint remover...results were minimal.

Best tool for restoring cast iron woodworking tool tables
Perfect for restoring cast iron tables on woodworking tools such as band saws table saws etc. Thick rust layer melts away to leave original grain finish in minutes. Restored 4 tools in less than an hour

Attachment issue
These wheels work well in general, however we recently had one fault. The plastic inner that locks in place on the Restorer began to melt, and therefore it is no longer driven by the machine. It's a waste because scourer surface is still quite new and has a lot of life left. Not sure if the operator was pressing too hard creating too much friction. I've had this same product work fine in the past.
