Rubie's Costume Co - Batman Grappling Hook

My boys love it! The top and handle are made of really good quality rubber and it can take a beating.The top does eventually pull off but it's made to push right back on. I added some tape around the top pole where the rubber top slides into and it holds even tighter and with a 3 and 6 year old it works just great for us. Our puppy got a hold of them for a few minutes and there wasn't even one tooth mark! That's how good the material is. The string hole on the bottom did break so we had to tie the string on the bottom of the handle but it hasn't fallen off there at all. I was so hesitant to buy because of some of the other reviews but I'm very glad we did. Our kids always say, " go get the grappling hooks," whenever we're outside up on the backyard playground.

The Batman grappling hook is a great costume accessory. Period. Any attempt to throw the grappling hook is met with frustration: the hook end is pretty heavy and the line is very lightweight. The line gets tangled in knots every single time. Lots of "hard to get out", "what was I thinking?"knots. Yes, I explained to my son that the grappling hook is just part of his Batman costume, not a toy. That worked out about as well as you would expect with a ten year old boy..... Bottom line: it looks great with the costume!!!

After reading reviews I didn’t have high expectations for this product but it seemed like the best option available. I gifted it to my 5 yr old son for Christmas and it was one of his absolute favorite gifts. He’s played long and hard with it and it has held up well. The biggest issue I’ve found is that the hook marks walls and anything it’s attached too.

As a prop for a Batman costume, it's just fine. Was kind of a pain to attach to my Batman utility belt, but I did not expend that much thought/effort trying, to be truthful. I am sure if you kept throwing it around like it was an actual grappling hook- trying to get it to attach to things and then pulling on it, that some portion of it would break, at some time. However, by no means do I find it to be fragile or brittle, or flimsy as some others have stated. I would describe it as being made of medium duty plastic. I did drop it a few times on the street- no problem.

He is only 4 and really wanted this to complete his batman outfit. Thanks for getting it there on time

Not gold like the one shown online. Hopefully the birthday boy won’t mind, he’s wanted this for a long time.

Very cheap plastic like a dime store toy.

My son has been asking for a grappling hook for months. This was perfect! A rubbery hook he can’t hurt himself on and a long string to be able to throw it. He loves it and plays with it daily. Good quality product.

Seems cool, but you have to wrap the string around the handle. Wish there was a reel or somethingBroke the same day we opened it!
