Too narrow/slips on heel
I developed plantar FASCITIS several months ago and have been wearing Orthaheel Womens Elisa Mary Jane .I like the shoe and the support it provides but I prefer a slip on, so when I saw this new slip-on style, I ordered it.I usually wear a 6.5 sometimes 7, but the Mary Jane style shoe was a bit snug in the size 6.5, so I ordered a 7 in the slip-on Maddie style. I found this style is too narrow in the toe box and they slip on my heel.Going down a half size is not going to help the narrow toe box, so back they go.Plus, they are not leather--and it is very evident in this shoe. The shoe has a decidedly cheap look to go along with the decidedly expensive price. With that said, I have been wearing Orthoheel flip flops for years and love them. I wouldn't wear any other brand of flip flop--great arch support and heel cushion. Very expensive for a piece of rubber, but when that comfortable, I am willing to pay the price.

I love these shoes
I Love my new shoes. I have always been afraid to order shoes on line but was very happy with these. The only problem is the the leather is a little stiff and right show rubs the outside of my heal below the ankle so will have to wear socks until they are broken in. I love these shoes so much I have warn them every day since I bought them. I have never before put on a pair of shoes that felt so good right from the start. Thank you I will be buying more orthaheel shoes. I do wish there was a dealer nearby, where I could go in and try them on first though.

Orthaheel
Orthaheel is my "go to" brand, since I have mobility issues. I purchased my first Orthaheels in the summer and only had open toe/heel shoes in this brand. Since the weather is getting colder, I needed something that would support my foot/ankle and keep my feet warm. I found these, thought they were a terrific bargain, and ordered them. When I initially put them on (which was as soon as they arrived!) they felt pretty good on my feet. Since I was accustomed to wearing Orthaheels, I wore them until time to go to bed. By then, they were really uncomfortable. The left shoe does not fit like the right shoe. It feels like the support comes up much higher than the right one. I am disappointed that I am not able to put them on and wear all day. I will have to try them from 30 minutes to an hour at the time and see if that makes a difference. If not, guess I will be buying a different style. I had planned to purchase this style in two more colors. Gonna hold off on the others. If I knew how they would fit, I would not have bought them, so I cannot recommend this shoe to anyone. :-(

Great arch support but no structure
I need a pair of flats to wear to work (hairstylist) that gave me good support, some cushion and looked attractive. These seemed like the ticket thanks to their classic loafer style and navy blue makes them a bit more fun than black or brown. Unfortunately the only thing they offer is the arch support. The shoe has no structure to is so my foot was not held in place. The leather is soft so I expect some stretching after which I can only image my foot flopping around in them. I wear a size 6-6.5 with a C width foot, so I'm actually between a normal and wide width. I ordered these in a 6.5 because I was shopping for Vionics and know I need to order up. I need a shoe that will fully support my feet for the 8-12 hours I spend standing in a fairly static position at work. If I had the liberty to own endless amounts of shoes I'd keep these for days off but my tiny closet can't handle that.

Disappointed in purchase
I was really excited to get this shoe as I have really liked the way my other Orthaheel shoes make my feet and body feel. On receiving this shoe I noticed that the built-in orthodc in the shoe seemed to be much different than in the prior two pairs. The arch part was not as high and the heel was not as low. I thought I'd try the shoe out anyway and see if there was a difference. After two hours out and about I had to head back to my car and put on my gym shoes as I just couldn't stand the gaping sides and the ill fitted orthodic of this shoe. I also noted that the back of the shoe does not come up high enough on my heel and gives a sloppy fit. I like the style and color of the shoe and I gave it a star for that, but the fit and feel is nowhere near the fit that I have with the clog type Orthaheel shoe. My advice is to pass this one by and see if the company doesn't come out with an "improved" model.

Doesn't fit like the sandals.
I have been wearing Orthaheel Porto sandals for several years now. They are not the prettiest shoe, but they're the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I have wide feet with a high arch and they fit perfectly. Unfortunately, Orthaheel does not use the same shoe mold for these loafers! I ordered a half-size larger than the sandals because the sandals are juuuust right and I wanted to make sure there was breathing room. The half-size larger was still too snug, and the arch support was an inch too far back - it was under my heel instead of my arch! Because the arch support was so far off I am not bothering to try the next size bigger. Very disappointed that these fit nothing like the sandals, and I will be trying a pair of their mules instead hoping that those use the same mold the sandals do.

Uncomfortable, ineffective, but attractive
Not as comfortable as other Orthoheel products I've purchased in the past. The fit is a tad smaller and the frame rubbed against the back of my foot until it created a lingering sore. I highly recommend wearing shoe liners or at least band aids until you break these in comfortably. The insole isn't as supported as previous pairs, but the look is very cute for work.

Maddie Loafer
Considering that I have flat feet and wear orthodics doesn't leave me with much of a choice in shoes that fit. I am keeping these shoes to wear in the winter with thick socks. I have a very narrow heal and they slip off. I was disappointed that they were not real leather but that could be my own fault for not thoroughly reading about them first before purchasing. Hopefully the thick socks will make the shoes comfortable. Thank you for sending me the shoes on time. I appreciate it. But please consider making them in a narrow size.
