Enjoyable and informative.
Using primary sources from the Samurai period and The Bible the author created a book for Christians who want to emulate the Samurai in their devotion to their Lord, honor and duty. The added bonus is it will introduce the readers to famous books on Samurai lore like the Hagakure and The Book of Five Rings by Mushashi.

Possibly the most effective book on Christian service I’ve read
I bought this book while traveling to Japan. I am a Christian and found it hard to connect with a culture that rejects Christianity. Then came this book. I left with an appreciation for Samurai code, specifically how it is very applicable to Christian living. This is unprecedented for me and now I find my walk with Jesus invigorated, and I am zealous to pray for Him to develop this character — which I feel is at its core the character of Christ — within me.

Great read
I broke my knees and my instructor gave me a copy to read in my recovery. I can't thank him enough. This book is especially helpful in your walk with Christ. It will also help those trying to learn under an old-school or traditional instructor. Their harshness is love, because they old correct those they love and are vested in.

The Christian Way
I downloaded this book for free on one of Amazon's free giveaways. I am a Christian, although I struggle on a daily basis, so this book piqued my interest as I also practice martial arts (Taekwondo) and practiced Karate as a child, so this book seemed to encompass two of my interests. I found this book to be intriguing I could not stop reading I read the whole book in a matter of hours. I found it very inspiring and helpful in my quest for wisdom. If you are a Christian this is a must read if you are not than this is even more of a must read. This book can help everyone in what life has to offer.

Cool short book don't want to spoil anything. Must read! I had 10 more words required so I can post this review.

like the samurai the Christian is expected to follow Christ ...
Few modern day Christians realise that their devotion to Christ is expected to be no less than that of the samurai of Japan. If their daimyo or Lord ordered them to go kill themselves, it was expected that the person would go kill themselves, without question, just because they were told todo so. Thus, like the samurai the Christian is expected to follow Christ in the same manner. Without question, without hesitation. This book while short and easy to read, presents the concept of devotion to Christ being just like Bushido. the

Lightweight
I was surprised at how little effort went into what on the surface appears to be a good topic and title. Quotes from the Hagakure are extensive. Buy a good translation and save yourself the lightweight interpretations. I, like most interested in Martial Arts, have had books such as the “Hagakure” and Musashi’s “The book of Five Rings” in our libraries for decades. Spend your money on the source from which this book presents snippets. If you already have the two books I mention, do a review reading of them. You will gain more than reading another’s yellow marker highlights from his copy of the books mentioned. I give it 3 stars because he at least made the effort.
