It works beautifully with a turntable.. We have been enljoying some of our classic sets from the 50's. We also have a rare Janapese vinyl which does work on our turntable and the sound is unbelievable.. My husband got the record when he was stationed in Jajpan in 58..

Try the phono or cd outputs - that may work

Q: can you hook up a sub to this reciever?

yes, for a powered subwoofer, both the CD and AUX inputs, have full fq pass thru outputs, it it not going to be a deck controlled sub fq crossover tho. so if you want good control over your fq look at something like a 31 band eq to go between deck and sub. or if you dont mind little control over your powered sub just use the dial's on the back of the sub. for a passive subwoofer. yes, but, i do not see a bridging option, from the build of this amp it actually appears to be a 4 channel bridged into 2 already, going by how the ohms and playing either channel or all channels works. so it would have to be one 8 ohm 100 watt max speaker per side on channel A. and you will need a crossover or eq, or inline fq filters on your subs, or it will play full fq like loud speakers. and its not alot of amps... so you wont be able to push them very hard. better to go with the lil 300w class d sub amps for 70~80 $ to run a passive woofer.
