Vega NT200 Open Face Helmet (Hi-Vis Yellow, Medium)

The helmet arrived just as it appeared in the description and looked well made overall. However, there were a few issues relating to it. First, one should order a size down than what you normally wear. I ordered an adult small and the helmet still moved loosely around my head. I am a 5' 8" tall female with athletic build and maybe a slightly smaller head than most. The color was great and perfectly matched my scooter, Florida Gators Blue, who could ask for more. However, even though I am very careful with my helmet, I have obtained many scratches on the face shield since my purchase. I have owned many other helmets in my life and have not experienced this problem. Next, there are small cloth coverings over the inside ear area on the helmet. These coverings shift and move every time I put on the helmet. While I ride, I can feel them shifting around my ears. I am tempted to just take a pair of scissors and cut the coverings off this area, which in turn I honestly think will turn out fine. I just don't know why they put those loose flaps over the ear area to begin with. Better design here would definitely had been appreciated, and I would have paid more to eliminate the hassle of the ear flaps. So overall if you were to purchase this helmet, I would say its a good purchase for the price, there are some drawbacks to what you get.

Color is fantastic. Great light weight. But the inside is too round, and not oblong like a head, well mine anyway. Meaning there is too much pressure in the front and back, but too much space at the ears. The pressure on the front is enough I could feel a headache coming on after ten minutes.Another problem is the clear shield and sun visor can't be used at the same time. You have to remove the shield to use the sun visor. What's the point of that?!I also bought and returned the HJC CL-33, which fit PERFECTLY, but doesn't come in hi-viz yellow. But I'd rather not have headaches than have the hi-viz yellow, so I will probably return this and get the CL-33 again after all.

This helmet is NOT SNELL rated and so can't be used for racing. It still seems like a well constructed helmet but SNELL will only certify a helmet for use if it passes their test. I returned it and bought a SNELL approved one. Makes me feel safer on the race track. The description on Amazon said that it was SNELL approved. I told Amazon about it and they promised to resolve the matter. I haven't gone back to look and see if they changed the description. But I will.

This is not the cool black skid lid that your grandpa used on his Harley. You're not a stealthy Ninja warrior either. Forget that stuff. When Granny backs out of her driveway, there's a good shot that she'll SEE YOU, and you won't need crazy maneuvers to compensate. Of course, you can also get a wicked loud horn, headlight modulator, yellow jacket etc.. They can also help, but you WILL be noticed in this helmet. It's also comfortable, and runs one size smaller than I thought it should. I swapped it for the next size up.

hard to find 3x so I bought 2 on the last buy,, Yellow fades out to white in abt 1 year, no big deal, love the mirror face shield

The color of the helmet was a perfect match to my motorcycle and comfortable when wearing it.The left vent on both helmets doesnt operate properly.

Runs just a little large to sizing. Overall I am please with the purchase.
