Save $$$ Easy Replace by Retired Grandmother
Wasn't sure I wanted to attempt fixing my Whirlpool electric dryer myself. Googled to troubleshoot, typical gives you a bunkload to choose from, found theapplianceman on You Tube. Watched him, gave it a shot, found the problem, continued troubleshooting to be sure everything else tested out ok. Parts arrived quickly, pull up this guy again to go through steps of changing parts, Voila it worked! Took minutes to change. Saved gas $, time (more $), and maintenance mileage on vehicle (even more $) for two 76 mile commutes to drop off and pick up a week later. Tools needed - multimeter and screwdriver to get the back panel off the dryer. Time to replace 10 to 15 to pull out, remove panel, replace parts, test dryer, replace panel and push back. Repair estimate was a minimum $150 plus parts and 1 to 3 weeks minimum without our dryer depending if he had parts on hand or had to order. Add $80 gas, $230 minimum plus tax plus mileage on your engine, oil, tires, etc. Took only a few days for parts to arrive. Back up on dryer in less time and portion of cost to have it fixed. He'd pick up and deliver for $75 charge and next trip to our rural town was in a week, plus return charge another week after fixed. I'd say it was WELL worth doing ourselves. Dryer working fine more than a month later. This by a retired grandmother and hubby pulling it out and pushing back for me. Guys - if you can follow instructions on a video you can do this. Ladies - you Can do this yourself and save at least $100, not to mention time and a stranger coming into the house. Not much to dryers to fix. Multi-meter, I priced those, $25 for non-digital, $40 for digital, plus tax in small town hardware store, if you're in a bigger town or city it's much less. DIY IT FOLKS, PEACE OF CAKE!And MANY THANKS to the supplier ( Seentech ) that listed this on Amazon at a fair price! Yes, I searched on line, this Seller has Great Deals, fast shipping, well packed, great service!Seentech AND theapplicanceman helped make it happen! I could've bought a used one for $350, who knows how long that would function. OR spend over $600 plus delivery charge plus tax and wait a week for delivery for basic cheap dryer that I'd have to bring in, connect myself & haul the old one, or pay $75 for the guys to wheel it in & plug in and they still wouldn't take the old one away. Thanks guys, - Meg

Need better packaging for product
Need much better packaging, placing product in bubble wrap, the prongs were bent. Fortunately, I was able to straighten out & install the item and it worked out.
