A Rollercoaster Ride - 4.5/5 Stars
This book was just as good as the first and I was able to finish it in less than a day, once again. Iām ranking this 4.5 stars due to some grammatical errors I found throughout the book. The ending was also a little rushed and unrealistic.I really appreciate the author using the second book to dive into the charactersā pasts. This allowed me to finally understand why theyāre all so messed up. To me thatās super important, the āwhyā behind the crazy thoughts and actions. In my opinion, itās not very believable that someone is bad just because they can be. After presenting all the mental health issues, abuse and trauma these people went through, I now can understand exactly why they are the way they are. It makes them easier to relate to.Similar to the first book, there are some intimate scenes that did not sit well with me. Itās a personal preference, but anytime consent isnāt freely given and boundaries are crossed, it rubs me the wrong way.The ending to this duet wasā¦both disappointing and a relief. Disappointing because it felt too easy for Cole and Mara to resume their lives after the big āeventā (trying not to spoil anything here) that nearly cost them everything. It was wrapped up a little too quickly and simply to really be believable. That being said, it was how I wanted things to turn out for them, so it made me happy. I also really love how Mara has evolved throughout these two books, fulling examining the darkness within herself and figuring out who she really is.This series has opened me up to a new genre that Iām eager to explore. Overall, really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone looking for a darker, psychological thriller.

Brava Ms Sophie!
Very interesting characters in this duet. At first I didn't think I would like it. But, it's Sophie Lark and she's awesome so...I started reading the first book and realized it was not what I thought it would be. The complicated and often abusive nature of the characters relationships caught my interest very quickly. There's reason for the madness! The evolution of Mara and Cole, of Cole and Alaster and even Mara and Alaster is sometimes scary, sometimes shocking and always exciting! The fact that it takes place in the city by the bay, made it even more exciting for me! I love San Francisco, it's one of my favorite places! This is Beauty and the Beasts! Or Beauty VS the Beasts/Serial killers!

Sophie is my queen!
Iām always excited when a new @sophie_lark_author book is in my inbox, but I donāt think yāall understand the excitement I had for this book. I was literally checking my inbox 10 times a day waiting for this to be there.āThere Is No Devilā is out on December 1st. That means you have just enough time to read āThere Are No Saintsā if you havenāt already, or to simply mentally prepare yourself for what you are about to read. This was the perfect ending to a brutal, dark, intense, and beautifully written duet. Sophieās writing continues to captivate me in every way, and if you pair the music she has linked in the book your mind will be taken to the next level. You are going to read more about Coleās past, his family, his relationship with Shaw, and what made him who he is. You will also read him trying to decipher feelings heās never had, which I personally enjoyed so much.Mara is also going to delve into her past. Her art takes on a whole new level, and the detail Sophie writes about it with is simply stunning. Mara continues to grow throughout this book, and becomes an even stronger fiercer woman! This book is SPICY, intense, dark, beautiful, gripping, will tear you apart, and as Sophieās books do, will sew you up with a smile at the end.5/5 āļøs, 10/10 for me, 100% read this book.

oh I love this psychotic story
Iām so happy I got the answers I seeked in book one. Like what was Cole Blackwell and Shawās history and how it lead to the relationship they had. I also got the backstory to why Mara is the way she is and what all she endured in her childhood. I love that Mara is basically as psychotic as Cole and he brought that out of her because he knows her in a way no one else could ever. This love story was psychotic and wild and extremely consumed me. I had to see how it would all play out! If you love all things dark, and those who are a little crazy in their own way then this definitely is a book for you :)

A conclusion that is absolute perfection!
Mind blowing, heart pounding, and more suspense than I have experienced in a book in a very long time. Sophie Lark has created a couple that readers shouldnāt love, but cannot help but root for anyway. A story that will make readers wonder, what would they do when faced with the unthinkable? Together Cole and Mara become truer versions of themselves while creating beautiful art beyond their wildest dreams. Readers get ready to be sucked into a world that can be twisted, horrifying, sexy and beautiful. The conclusion of this duet is everything I couldāve wanted and more!

Delightful
Sinfully delightful read! The author wields her words with precision and skill. The unique and changing character perspectives drive the story with passion and give insight into the main charactersā actions. Well written, unique, entertaining, and charming.Aside from the book itself, the playlist at the start and cues to play particular songs for detain scenes really creates a full sensory experience, which truly embodies the art works depicted in the story. Sophie Lark creates multi-form art with this creative interwoven media.

Full Duet Review
Where to start??These books are a little difficult for me to rate and review. I'm not 100% sure I know how I feel about them.First off...I love serial killer/psycho books. LOVE them. And dark books are my jam. So no problems here with anything like that. These are my first books by the author. I was, at first, a little surprised with how much "tell vs show" there was. Feelings weren't always clear, and in the beginning, I had a hard time connecting with the characters. But then, seemingly out of nowhere, I found myself drawn into the story. As I haven't read any of Sophie's other books, I'm not sure if this is her normal writing style, or if it was written this way to immerse the reader into the mindsets of the characters. (If it's the second one, she's some kind of genius.)I found myself getting caught up in their story, and when I began book 2, I was even more so. I abandoned housework and other responsibilities to keep reading, and when the story was done, I found myself in this predicament.Just how exactly do I feel about this duet? š¤·š¼āāļøThere were a couple of discrepancies between book 1 and 2. Just because of my black little heart, I would have loved to see more killings and more blood. For a book with an MMC that's a serial killer, I was wanting more. This is also a slow burn duet, and I didn't find it overly spicy.But...but. Those are small complaints, really more due to my personal preferences. And authors cannot please everyone. So, it's 4 stars from me...because at the end of the day, although I was left wanting more, I could not put the books down, and I'm glad I read them. I have the feeling I'll be falling down the psychopath rabbit hole now. Gimme.

AWESOME, MUST READ DUET.
This is the second book in this amazing Sinner's Duet this book is a dark and twisted romance read about a serial killer who also takes pride in his obsession, her. The conclusion to these books was great and I really loved reading about these characters.Everything has changed for Mara and she is adjusting well. She didn't expect what is happening with her and Cole and she is embracing every second of it. Mara is a very strong, independent and she thought she was broken until Cole came into her life and made it all different.Cole is very smart and he doesn't like things that he cant control and he will do anything in his power to keep her safe even kill for her. Cole is a very dark and twisted human being who also has another serial killer on his tail with Alastor and these two people are about to go head to head and we will see who the smarter of them is.I loved how this author written these characters and how she brought them all to life beautifully and once I started reading them I couldn't stop. This author is very creative and they way that this story comes together in this conclusion is amazing. It is full of obsession and mind twist and the crime element is great, it has very dark moments and is a thriller written so great it came to life on the pages. This story flows and has a great pace to it and gripped me all the way through, you will love reading about Mara and Cole and what is hiding in the shadows. I highly recommend reading these books its truly an awesome duet and I cant wait to read more from her in the future.

WOW! loved this serial killer dark romance
this is book two in the sinners duet, they need to be read in order to make sense. please read there are no saints before reading this one so that the story makes sense. this book picks up right where there are no saints left off. cole and mara are soulmates, clear as anything the more you read thisš„² two lost souls so different on the outside, different situations, but so perfect for each other on the insideš„ŗ cole cares for mara so deeply, even if itās not in the usual conventional sense that someone would show their love.. my coleš omg when you find out why heās so cold and troubled, my heart BROKEš i love himš„² but also when maraās past is revealedššš you really see a different side to cole in this book, heās warm, protective, caring and so supportive of mara, he just wants her to be the best version of herselfš„ŗš„² i really liked cole in there are no saints, but i FELL IN LOVE with cole in there is no devilā¤ļøāš„ everything about him was just š„µš„ cole shows his more human side the more time he spends with mara, heās even a little humorous. the suspense had me gripped from the very start, i couldnāt put this book down because i just had to know how everything was going to pan out! i surprised myself by how much i enjoyed this dark serial killer romance!!š¤ so well written and such complex characters that you just fall so easily for.

Phenomenal read!!
Just how Cole is enthralled with Mara, I am equally enthralled with Sophieās writing. Sophie continues to blow me away with her talent and the brilliant books she produces. Her latest release, There Is No Devil (book 2 in her sinners and saints series), is a book that will leave you gasping and begging for more. This book carries on from the first one and perfectly shows the development of Mara and Cole. I think the character development for the MCās is fantastic and the dynamic between them is incredible. Even though Cole is a sociopath with very strong selfish attributes, he never once stops worshiping the ground that Mara walks on. And I think thatās why this book is so fricking good- you canāt help but swoon over the way Cole is towards Mara and how he builds her into a stronger and better version of herself. It is also amazing to see how Mara changes Cole and shows him love is something to treasure. This book is honestly everything I wanted from Mara and Cole. It is perfect and went in the right and only direction I could see it going; one filled with so many bumps and turns, shocks and thrills, and lots of suspense. After all, it wouldnāt be a good serial killer romance without suspense. This book is jam-packed with amazing qualities:- The storyline is perfection- The suspense is thrilling- The steam is incredible- And the violence adds to the danger...Whatās not to love?I canāt wait to see what troupes Sophie tackles next, as she has proven that she is amazing no matter the theme of her books. It could be mafia or serial killer romance, her books will still be absolutely amazing.I donāt think this review does the book justice, but I hope it convinces you to read this series.ā ļøThis book could contain triggersā ļøSTARS: āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø++SPICE:š¶š¶š¶š¶

Dark and steamy serial killer romance
Sophie Lark! How you have me simping for straight up psychopaths ill never know but never stop because I love it and I love Cole Blackwell!I absolutely loved the first book and didnāt think it could get any better and then I read this.I almost have no words for how much I enjoyed this book. I could not put it down and basically read it in one sitting. It focused a lot more on our main characters, Mara and Cole.Mara and Cole open up to each other in ways never expected, sharing some of their darkest secrets. Neither of them judges the other and embrace their darkness. Throughout this book we see Cole guide Mara, not just through the art world but through her trauma and teaches her to embrace this new part of her that is coming out. While Mara is guiding Cole through his newfound emotions.Though everything is looking great for our main characters there is still the threat of Shaw leering over them, but its not just Shaw. There is Officer Hawkins who is hell bent on pining the blame on Cole. The ending was truly great and had me on the edge of my seat. I love all these characters and I am sad to see the end of them.Highly recommend this duet if you are a dark romance reader.
