Rain Jacket for Women - Lightweight Poncho - Waterproof Raincoat

Please don't be put off by the price, which is much higher than for the usual cheap rain poncho. I was seeking a well-made open garment with a zipper closure and a pocket that I can wear to walk the dog, hike, garden, etc. in the rain when it isn't cold enough for my waterproof down jacket. This fits the bill perfectly, and I love the way it billows out so I don't need to wear rain pants in a soft shower. Today there was a moderate wind with a decent downpour and I did wear it with rain pants and boots. What a difference it made. No more trying to balance the umbrella and the leash while bending down to pick up poop. I did make one change: I used a two-hole cord clamp at each edge of the open hood hem and strung through a length of cord which ran through the second clamp and back to tie at the other hand. Not the tidiest in appearance but works great and was very quick. I expect this poncho to last me many seasons. It is well worth the asking price.

The company- November Rain answered all of my email questions quickly!They weren't positive it would work size wise, but thought it would - so I ordered it from Amazon to be able to try it and send it back if it didn't work.Pros!It is wonderful! I am plus size(26/28ish), and had a very difficult time finding something that would pack well and fit comfortably - let alone actually be cute! Most of the other women's "plus size" choices went up to a 20/22 or didn't look durable. Or there was the big men's camo hunter gear. Shudder. Lol.They donate 10%to great causes.Handy detachable hood!Cons!I don't love where the sleeve snaps line up on me, but I also don't need them. I can add snaps later if I feel it would be helpful.It is a little pricey, but they sent me a coupon when I went to their web page.Otherwise it's super spacious, and feels very sturdy. Annnd packs into a cute little bag, lol!

This is super cute and made really nice. It's not heavy but heavier than cheap ones you might find at discount stores. At first I didn't want to spend the money but I'm happy with my purchase. It has style while being functional. I live in Florida and it is easier to carry than an umbrella. I am also plus size and still fits great!

I purchased this for a Disney trip because I was tired of buying throwaways. Was initially concerned due the the price difference between this and other options. This is extremely well made and by no means a throw away. I have packed it twice with no issues. Unless I am traveling, I leave in in my closet - ready to use. The color is a beautifful deep teal. I especially like the fact that I can throw it over anything- light tee shirt or heavy sweater and am still comfortable while looking good and staying dry.

Not yet worn in the rain, but will soon. I am 5'4" and about 165lbs. I ended up with the Tall size after finding the Regular didn't provide the coverage that I wanted. The Regular ended short of my wrists and the Tall covers about half of my hands. The extra length in the Tall size provides coverage in the rear for me if I'd ever want to sit on a wet surface. The Reg size would be too short on me for that. When reaching out, as one would when driving, the tall does not get in the way. My preference was to have more coverage than less. This item feels lightweight, but I trust that it will keep out the wind and rain. It allows plenty of room for ease of movement & layering sweaters underneath - some thing that a jacket can't do. The hood is detachable & has a drawstring to keep it as close as you'd like. I might add my own snap on each side to keep the sides from blowing up & out on windy days. There was no plastic or rubber odor to the garment when I opened the package. Would give 5stars, but I haven't put it to the rain test yet.

Quality poncho that looks great. I got this as a gift for a friend and it works great in rainy Portland, Oregon. It has a little more flair than your average poncho and fits over a backpack.The poncho is a little wrinkly to start but otherwise perfect.

Too many times I've found an umbrella to be inconvenient. Too much wind or too much in my hands to be able to handle an umbrella.So, I bought this. And I cannot describe how many times it's come in handy. Keeps my clothes dry (mostly) and the hood protects my head.The only thing I'd do differently would be to make it a little longer. I'm only 5' 1" tall, but it does seem a little short, even for me.Otherwise, it does what it's advertised to do.

Not 100% satisfied with the price. I think this is actually Worth $45 At The most. But it's just not $60 sturdy feeling good product.Also it has a front pocket that is useless. It will not protect anything you put inside. It won't even stay dry because the flap is so easily moveable That it can get stuck and water will fill it up. Pockets in my opinion should only be on the inside of raincoats. It just makes sense.other than that I like this poncho. It was exactly the style I was looking for. Perfect for carrying a purse or going over me and my baby carrier (I'd have to use with an umbrella too if I'm carrying my baby but it'll still make a big difference).I was a little worried because "one size fits all" is a scary description for me. I'm 5' 4" and 255 lbs with a 42 DD bust and this isn't too short or tight. Lots of room!
