The Best At Diminishing Fruit Fly Invasion
This is a really great product. As soon as I received it I placed a small amount in a small dish per the instructions and...(flashback before results) this year the fruit flies are plentiful. Indoors and out. They seem to multiply at a rapid rate and all attempts to rid the house of them seem...well, fruitless. I have tried the Terro traps and they just don't seem to work well and they are expensive too. The Eco Defense Fruit Fly lure is by far the best product I have found. Within minutes - minutes - I had several flies floating in it. Within an hour the clear bait (looks like apple juice) was so full I had to pour it out and refill. I set several more in areas where I see the most activity: the kitchen, bathrooms, living room and even one in the bedroom. I have the bait next to my bed on the nightstand and there is no unpleasant odor to speak off. It smells a lot like Apple Cider Vinegar but there are a few other ingredients. Again though, the odor is only perceptible if I have my nose right up to it. Within just a couple of days the fruit fly population has been cut down considerably. Trust me, the invasion has been fierce. I have 20 apple trees on my property and as they drop their over-ripe fly lure-bombs on the ground the flies swarm. I am fine with them outside but cannot allow them to take control of the home. Eco Defense is reasonably priced and very well packaged. They were kind enough to follow up via email to ensure my satisfaction. Yes, yes, yes, I am quite satisfied with this product, thank you!

Effective Product for Big Fruit Fly Problem
Eco Defense works very well in capturing most fruit flies but like all products won't capture everyone. It works well enough that I reordered a second bottle. to battle a lingering problem. When you enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, fruit flies are inevitable. You may think you are rid of them but they seem to return and if ignored multiply fast and travel everywhere especially bathrooms. The directions call for placing fluid in a small dish which does work well but uses an excessive amount of the fluid. I found a nice compromise using the smaller cover of a storage jar about 2-3 inches in diameter which works well. Will it work in the small covered trap? It works great in that trap or any other slightly closed trap but it takes much longer to capture the flies. To compensate, set out numerous traps throughout the house. If you have a big problem with fruit flies, Eco Defense can help. It's also important to do all the recommended things to discourage fast fruit fly breeding by cleaning drains and careful storage of fruits and vegetables and removal.of baskets where fruit flies can breed.

I expect to see results in the next few days
I received this product earlier today. I followed the directions, poured the product into several bowls, and placed them throughout my house. It has been a few hours and I checked the bowls. There are dead flies in the bowls; however, a lot of the flies are still flying around the bowls. I'm going to leave them out for a few days and I do expect to see great results. The product smells EXACTLY like apple cider vinegar. I did try the home remedy of mixing together apple cider vinegar and dish soap and it also worked for me. I'm not sure if I should've saved the $15 and kept doing the home remedy but we just had so many flies (long story) that I wanted to try everything. Anyway, this product does kill fruit flies like it says it does - but I'm choosing to give it 4 stars because I believe paying $15 is a little over the top for what it actually is. I mean, it's basically a 16 oz bottle of apple cider vinegar.

Nice to not have to make my own mixtures and ...
Nice to not have to make my own mixtures and that is 'safe' is great since I use at my business. I am seeing fruit flies being caught hopefully this will keep up the good work ! Update 11/16: This has taken me awhile but, today I was able to see this head to head with another fruit fly trap lure. Visibly it seemed like all of the fruit flies were attracted more to the other trap. The other trap is the Terro fruit fly brand. I am not very happy with the results and may I have to go back to using the Terro until I can find a better option. Downgraded.
