L’Oreal Paris Le Color Gloss One Step In-Shower Toning Hair Gloss, Neutralizes Brass, Conditions & Boosts Shine, Silver, 4 Ounce

I have short hair previously colored with Champagne blonde 8.5. I have champagne blonde with very light highlights and some natural grey and white hair coming in. It is especially white around the temples. My goal is to transition to all natural grey/white, whatever grows in. I have used the toners to blend the colored and natural hair so as not to have a line of demarcation at the roots. I have used both Silver and Platinum Pearl. The Silver made the white hair appear brighter and whiter. It had a slight muting effect on the colored blond hair. The Platinum Pearl has a deeper tone and is less blue. It does a better job blending the different colors. I prefer the Platinum Pearl. It does appear to leave the hair soft and conditioned. I apply a leave in heat protectant conditioner with Keratin before blow drying. It has a nice shine. I have short chin-length hair and can get about six applications from one tube. The color lasts between 3 and 4 shampoos. I would buy it again.

I've had white hair since I was 30 and have gotten quite bored of it at age 60. My hair is normal to fine (not dyed or permed). I had been using Overtone and other purple-based temporary colors, however after using them for quite awhile, they started making my hair looks almost greenish/bluish versus silver gray probably due to the build up of colors. However, this product -- while it doesn't last as long -- so far keeps my hair a nice light silver color. It's not as bold a color as Overtone and others, but it's easier to put on, doesn't stain my hands if I put it on quickly and rinse my hands right away (my hair is also quite short -- I would wear gloves if doing long hair) and the color is quite nice. I wish leaving it on longer would result in a darker color, but so far it has not. But I'd much rather have a light silver color than a darker gray that has gone kind of green/blue. PLUS my hair is very shiny afterward with this product, and other colors I've used have been rather drab -- probably because they are depositing more color. So for the time being, I love this stuff and have been using it about four months. If I discover any problems over time, I'll come back to amend this review. UPDATE: Still using this, with no odd colors (no green or overly blue tinge after using for months). Very happy so far -- just bought another tube. One tube will do my very short hair about 2.5 times.

I cannot say that this made a drastic difference in my hair. I don't use a lot of product that would leave yellowness in my hair. It is easy to use, I do use gloves to put it in but I take them off when it's time to rinse it out. After using it I always feel a little bit brighter and sparklier. It is deeply purple and I don't use it all the time just to make sure it doesn't dry my hair out more than it already is dry at age 71.

Finally a product that works! I only left it on for 5 minutes but yellowing gone and my hair came out silky and shiny. Great price for an effective product.

The smell is nauseating. However, my salt-and-pepper straightish hair looked fantastic- silky, glossy, and bright. So if you don't struggle with strong, synthetic, perfumey smells, it's probably worth it. I may try using a conditioner after the next application and see if it takes some of the smell away, and I will update.

So I am growing out my gray hair. I have some mineral light yellow on the hairline around my face some. This is the only thing that hides the yello. It won’t get rid of it but it hides it. You apply every so often. It washes out. This product doesn’t dry out your hair and leaves it very shiny.

Silver is the perfect platinum silver. Use this and my hairdresser always wonders how my hair stays so well toned. You can leave it on or add a little to your conditioner and it works well.

I have natural silver and brownish-blackish hair (see the before picture). This is a very dark purple right out of the bottle. I decided to only go 5-6 minutes the first time I used it and I’m glad I did. Just that length of time gave me a dull lavender tone (see the after picture). Friends and family thought I had colored my hair! I do not like the results of the toner. The conditioner aspect is great, and that’s the only reason this isn’t a one star review. I will not use this product again and I wouldn’t recommend.

Easy to use. I did not leave it on the recommended time but the results were great. Today I will leave it on specially on the back portion of hair. The front turned out silvery the first time so I’ll concentrate on the back were my hair is darker. Leaves hair sof, with volumen and very shiny. Three days been now and my hair is still soft and shiny. Very pleased with the L’Oreal Paris Le Color Gloss one step Toning Hair. This Silver gloss is fantastic. No need for gloves.
