like you are using a wired connection
Ordered this usb dongle for $15 just to check out if it works for my simulator. For that price, you really cannot go wrong, so I took the chance. I use the NEXT helicopter/multirotor/fixed wing simulator for the Mac. It does work. No drivers needed. Just plug in, turn your transmitter on and bind. It instantly bound on my Spektrum DX9. With the NEXT simulator, it however does not work correctly the first time, you have to go into the transmitter settings first and find the mode and set that works correctly for your transmitter. It first thought my transmitter was mode 1. I had to go into the settings and correct that. After finding the correct setting, you have to calibrate your transmitter, like you are using a wired connection. It is very important to disable the channels that you do not use in the software/transmitter settings. Otherwise the controls go haywire. Also, when starting the software, make sure that the dongle is unplugged. Start the software, turn on your transmitter then plug the usb dongle in. I do this even when using the wired usb connector to my transmitter. It might be a software issue.Other than that, this is an awesome training tool! For the price, it is great!

Works great with DX9 and RF8
Works perfectly with my DX9. Here's a hint, press the button on the side then push it into the USB slot. It'll start blinking. If you push it into the slot first and then push the button the side it may not blink. After it starts blinking bind your radio... Be sure to take a few steps away from your laptop before binding. If you're too close it won't bind. I have Realflight 8 and a Spektrum DX9 and it works perfectly. Of course, figuring out the channel assignments on Realflight vs the DX9 is a separate issue which take a little time to decipher. But, this dongle does definitely work perfectly.

Binds easy.
I have the Orange RX transmitter, they both bind together esay. I use it with Clearview flight simulator works fantastic. It could have come with instructions but it doesn't take long to find the bind button on the side. Hold the button and plug it in to a USB port on your computer, turn on and bind your radio.

Extremely mediocre
Binds to DX8 and works (kinda) with AccuRC.Problems:Have to unplug and reinsert every time you want to use it.Cuts out for about two seconds at random intervals, sometimes every 10 seconds, some times every couple minutes. This is VERY frustrating when trying to use the sim as a training tool. Seems pretty common with a google search.Other thoughts:Price is reasonable. No reason to pay $40 for a $3 piece of electronics...if it works.

Easy setup and Works perfectly
Use this instead of stereo connection! I struggled for a while trying to get my DXE to work with flight simulators until I bought this. It worked like a charm. Just plug it in and bind your transmitter and it's done.

Useless for me.
It did not work on any flight simulator that I tried it on. It would bind with transmitter but the simulateors would not work with it. A friend tried it also no good.

This adapter works very well!
There should be some documentation with the adapater rather than having to search for how to use it on the Internet!
