Easy enough to install, in spite of the cr*p instructions (google installation instructions and watch the video instead).Plan to buy a couple extra magnetic keys - so you'll have two for keeping next to often used cabinets and a back-up for when you misplace the one that comes with it (or lose it down the Disposal).As a couple others have advised, buy a set of drill depth collars - they are cheap and give you piece of mind when drilling the set holes for the magnetic switch. The drill stop that comes with this set is absolutely without a doubt completely worthless.Make sure that the threshold you are attaching the latch to is flush to the cabinet door when you close it, or else you will have some re-drilling todo.I am pretty handy and these took about 10-20 minutes each to install - longer when i needed to re-position latches or figure out a new mount.Toughest thing is getting used to the fact that the cabinets are all locked.

If you need to keep someone out of your cabinets these locks are perfect. I used the cheap plastic ones in the past but children will figure them out and break them. These are somewhat easy to install, especially after you figure out the first one, but they are worth it. They have not only locked my toddler out of every base cabinet, but they can lock you out as well when you aren't paying attention. If you need to keep them unlocked they have a red tab you use to keep the locking mechanism pushed in so you can gain easy access to your cabinets when you don't need them locked. I would definitely recommend these locks to everyone I know that needs safety gear in their homes.

Used to kid-proof our kitchen cabinets, and I love them.Installation:Putting these in is very easy. All you really need is a drill and a screwdriver. The little stick-on templates that come with the kit work perfectly and make sure the latch and catch are aligned. Follow the directions and everything lines up great. After I got the hang of it, it probably only took 5 minutes a cabinet to finish. There are multiple pieces in the kit to ensure that these will work no matter how thick your cabinet doors are. I had to use the short insert for the doors, and they work great.Use:First off, they succeed in keeping my 1-year-old from getting into the cabinets. The main reason I wanted this type of lock is that there is zero play in the door unless you use the magnet to open it. So no little fingers getting smashed, and no little arms reaching into the gaps. Plus it is fun watching your wife try to find where you put the magnets in the cabinets for the first time. There is an audible click that lets you know you've hit the right spot, and after a few weeks we just know where each lock is on the cabinets. There is also a little latch on the lock that basically holds it open, so you can disable the locks as needed.Make sure you get an extra magnet, or buy two packs. We haven't found another magnet in the house yet that will also open the cabinets. The easy part is that we just keep the lock magnets on the fridge and we haven't lost one...yet. I definitely recommend these.

I had to find a video on You Tube to figure out how to install these but once I got the hang of it they went on pretty well. They don't fit on our cabinets with all four screws as ours has a lip on the inside of the doors. Even with three screws they seem very secure. The nice thing is they will stay on for as long as we live in this house and can be basically "turned off" if you don't want to use them (just a flip of a little piece of plastic). My biggest complaints are the horrible instructions and time to install, but from what I've ready they are the best, most effective option out there.

first I have to say that this cabinet locking system is awesome! Then I have to say that we got them as a gift and then bought more to use because they're so wonderful. This is a great alternative to the other ones that have the little plastic stick that goes into the cupboard then you have to open the cupboard a little bit, push the lever down and then you can open the cupboard all the way. I've never liked those because it's annoying and if you don't want to use them you have to completely remove them from the door. also it seems like a pretty easy way for little fingers to get pinched because the cupboard does open a little bit. so back to the TotLok system :) they are able to be locked and unlocked so when there's no baby in the room you can unlock the system then you can just walk over to open up your cupboards no problem like it wasn't even there. when there's a baby in the room you can walk over, flip the lever to lock the lock and then the door doesn't open at all. I feel that it's the safest and easiest system, hands down!! another thing I love about these is the customer service. I was missing a part from the set we got as a gift and I sent an email to the company. they sent me the part, no charge no questions asked it was wonderful. now granted this was one tiny part so probably if I was missing a lot of things maybe it wouldn't have been for free but it was still wonderful how they answered quickly, very pleasant person! all in all I think if you don't get this system, you're nuts :) because I have not found anything out there that is this great!!!!
