Always wanted one like this.
Just the right size for the two of us. My DIL had given me a bigger one years back but it emptied from the bottom and I wasn't impressed. This is perfect and cleans up well. Thanks, I love it.

Love this
Useful and what I needed. Expensive for a plastic cup but I couldn’t find one cheaper so I deducted a star. (The one I had came from a dollar store and I used it for over 18 years!)

Not large enough.
I like it but it is small.

It is fragile !
It does work great but the material feels fragile.

Great and Cheaper.
This works better than the ones that cost 3-4 times as much. The top makes the difference. And makes straining the juices from the fat much easier.

Handy for Other Uses
This Norpro separator/strainer is great for filling water bowls through pet crates, adding liquids to recipes without spills, and separating the fat from meat stock. I am pleased with its transparency, washability, and strength for normal usage. My first Norpro separator/strainer had daily use for about ten years and finally developed a small leak. I was thrilled to find an exact replacement. It feels like it is the same quality as my first. Thumbs up!

I looked FOREVER for one of these!
My mother, grandmother and aunts all had these gravy separators and I looked everywhere locally for one. These work wonderfully for removing the fat from your homemade broths. You can then use the broth for reduced fat soups stews and gravies. Just pour the broth into the separator and let it sit for a few minutes and the fat rises to the top (the longer it sits, the more fat you can remove). The spout is at the BOTTOM of the liquid so you just pour the skimmed broth out into your saucepan or storage container until you see the fat coming close to the spout inside the separator (or you begin to see some of it come out of the spout). Stop pouring and then just dump the fat into your garbage - VERY SIMPLE! My only complaint would be that I would love to have one made of pyrex glass. I am sure the plastic will become cloudy over time with use.

Worked for the purpose
I needed something to separate the grease on home made broth. Works good.
