I purchased this case primarily for drop protection for my Pixel Buds, and it definitely delivers on that front. The soft rubber material feels durable, and its thickness seems just right to guard against most accidental drops and bumps. Regarding some comments about a gap appearing between the top lid and the main body – I believe this might stem from the installation process. There's a small piece of double-sided tape inside the lid piece meant to secure it. Before I removed the tape's backing, the lid fit perfectly flush. However, after removing the backing, I must not have aligned it perfectly when sliding it onto the Pixel Buds case. The strong tape adhered it slightly off-angle, resulting in a very small gap (around 3/64"). Since protection is my main priority, this tiny gap isn't a dealbreaker for me at all. But, for those who want a perfectly seamless look, it seems achievable: just be extra careful with alignment before pressing the lid down firmly for the tape to stick. Overall, a solid protective case that does its job well.

It's good as it's advertised but please note that the top is not connected to the bottom grip and the top adds weight to the top of the actual pixel buds case and causes it to open a lot with mild movement. Due to the extra weight, this cover caused my case to open multiple times in a span of two days and eventually I lost my buds not even two days after getting this case because it has randomly opened while I was out in town and I didn't notice in time. It is visually nice and fits well, as well as helps with shock absorbency but at the cost of your case opening and the buds falling out.
