I was out of commission for awhile with a knee injury and couldn't step up into my 4-Runner (getting OUT of it was no problem!). I bought this step and drilled a hole in the side, just large enough for a yoga strap to fit. I tied a knot in the strap so that it couldn't come out, and now I can pull the step up into the car with me so that if I get out of my car, I will have my little step with me for getting back in again! The step is large enough and sturdy enough that I feel it is safe for me (being careful, of course, when using it). I'm going to buy another for use in my kitchen when I need just those couple of extra inches for getting to things on upper shelves. I can store it easily in my pantry, and it's much easier to handle than a ladder or even a step-stool. I highly recommend!

The coating on this product definitely has safety first in mind. When in bare feet you are very secure stepping on it to climb into a high bed or in or out of a bathtub. The top has little squares on it and is flat so it doesn't hurt my feet. The 3 1/2" is a perfect height for me to be able to feel very safe as I step up with having mobility issues. The step is wide enough for me to turn around on and it is strong. As it is not heavy in weight I keep it beside my bed and carry it to other rooms if needed.

I have bad knees and this product is great for steps that I have going outside of my house or to my laundry room. It does not slide and it works great for me.
