We wanted a fan with plenty of light for the full room -- but with dimmer control and remote controls. The Mesa Vista Fan is the only fan with 180 watts of dimmable, incandescent light, 3 fan speeds with quiet operation, user choce of 3, 4, or 5 fan blades to match decor, and can be used with a wireless wall switch at the room entry door and one or two additional wireless hand remotes at bedside.To add the ceiling light and fan, the electrician connected a new wire to a wall outlet then ran the electric cable up the wall and across the ceiling to center on the foot of the bed. A less expensive second method would to be run the electric cable contained in a surface mounted channel (like a track light) with less disturbance to the sheet rock wall and ceiling.We like the price too. I thought we would pay hundreds of dollars more, but I could not find these features at any price.Best was the service. When I finished installing my fan, I had a friction sound when the fan was on. I thought, "Oh no! I have to take the whole thing down and send it back. Then install a replacement all over again."Not so. I emailed Amazon on a Friday seeking a return and replacement. In under an hour, I had an email from Mesa Vista customer support offering to phone me on the weekend to trouble-shot the fan. On Sunday, Jeff called and we discussed the type of noise and possible solutions without returning the whole fan. Then I realized that the chances were that I made a mistake installing the fan because the sound was not from a faulty motor. Listening on the phone Jeff thought, it was a friction noise. He gave me a choice of returning the whole motor assembly or removing the globe and listening for the sound.I chose to trouble-shot the fan at first since that was easier than an exchange, and Jeff assured me that anytime I want to replace the whole motor assembly -- I could do it.Now two weeks have passed and I have not worked on the fan yet, so I sent and email to Jeff and told him this. He told me that time urgency is not as important as a good solution. We agreed that I still will try trouble shooting. I feel very confident Mesa Vista will let me be human and trouble shoot when I can with the one year warranty.This is the way all companies should work.

We are thrilled with this ceiling fan. It is beautiful, yet unobtrusive, and has excellent light. We highly recommend it!

Easy to install l, I did it!! Works perfectly for 4 months now!

This product was not easy to install. Had too many wires. The end product after it was finally up in the ceiling was not as pretty as the picture. I would not recommend this product.
