Well, I'm going to Switzerland in August, and am taking all my techno toys with me (:grin) -- so I wanted something that could expand available electrical outlets in a creaky older Swiss hotel. These days many devices are charged via USB which is a good thing when travelling abroad -- as don't have to worry so much about European power differences. This strip is 220 volt compatible with two USB ports -- that's a plus. The universal outlets will handle US and many other plug geometries. Unfortunately, it doesn't accept the Swiss 3-prong type J plug -- hopefully I won't have too many Swiss thingies to plug in. From my point of view it's not completely "universal" (although it will handle most of the rest of the EU).

Works okay. If you didn't have to force the plugs into the holes, it would be great (5 stars). But, the plastic inside, which I assume is to protect from debris nearly prevents intended use. If you don't need to plug and unplug a device, it's worth buy. Otherwise, I'd find another product.

Works well, but was slightly confusing trying to figure out how/where to plug into strip. Needed to take a little piece of cardboard to slide back the levered piece of plastic in the outlet in order to plug in my appliances--voila! Easy fix after many minutes of frustration trying to jam the plugs in there!

Great 220V power strip. I've used it in Africa for over a year now and haven't had any problems. The usb outlets are handy. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to plug things in sometimes. The plastic doesn't want to move, so you have to get rough with it occasionally.

I bought this item to use on two recent trips to Europe and I am glad I did. It worked well with both US and European voltage devices and the USB charging ports (two) were an added bonus. Having this with me made it easy to use my laptop, charge both my iPhone and iPad, and charge my camera batteries all at the same time. Highly recommended for "road warriors" who venture to Europe from the US.

i ordered this because of the advertised EU plug (as seen on the picture). however, the item I received has a US 3-prong plug. i was planing to use it while traveling in Europe, so now I'll have add an adapter to convert from US to EU. It is not a problem impossible to solve, but it is an inconvenience and a disappointment.

It's good. My only complaint is that sometimes the plug contacts get stretched and they no longer touch the plug.

I had to return it. The watts were too low to run all of the equipment I had.
