Magicshine Bike Light Battery MJ-6112, 6116, 6116C, 6118 USB Rechargeable Battery Pack for MJ-900/906, Monteer Series MTB Lights, 7.2V High Capacity Li-Ion Battery Pack

We had an incident which destroyed our OEM pack. As I read reviews of other replacement packs, I was concerned about the inconsistent quality people were reporting.I’m glad I found this pack. It’s a definite upgrade.This is a well-built battery pack: solid, dust & splash resistant. The pack has been shaped to fit better on a bike frame. The Velcro straps deep to be adequate. If they were to wear-out, they can be replaced with ease.The bonus on this pack is the ability to use it as a power bank to recharge your phone or other personal devices via a USB port. The battery can also be charged using a standard USB charger.The only thing I’m be worried about is that someone might remove the cable to the light and forget to take the rubber cover. The cover is small and easy to misplace. I’m gonna test it to see if the contacts to the light are energized when there’s no light connected, or when the USB port is in use connected... (I’ll amend my review when I’ve done it).

So far so good. I ordered a batter from Magicshine a couple years back and it literally lasted about 10 rides. I tried to use it recently and it would not hold a charge at all. This unit seems to be much better. It is slim and light compared to the one I had before that was short, fat and heavy. I have only used it once, but it worked well on that ride.

I got this as a replacement for the MJ 900 light. It works just fine. I haven't stress tested the battery life yet, but it's definitely longer lasting than the smaller original battery pack. Velcro attachment is very secure.

This product worked very well for about the first month. Now, it won;t keep a charge. In the past 10 years I I have purchased 2 magicshine headlamps and 4 different styles of batteries; this one has been the worst, hands down.

Nice battery pack for either of my two Magicshine lights. The straps are velcro, and work well, but if I had a preference, I'd prefer rubber straps since I think they "stick" to the bike a little better.

This is a gift for my son in law. It is exactly what he is looking for.

Charged up great for first use. Keeps the lights on for about 3.5 hours on High
