CODACE Keyless Entry Door Lock with Keypad, Black, Combination Lock, Waterproof

I've owned 3 Pella Sliding doors for over 20 years and they have been great doors. Even though they come with simple thumb latches to secure the door (as well as foot latches) which for years has been fine for daily use. One can always add a 3' wooden dowel rod on the floor on the opposite hand to help with add'l security but that''s a pain too....however, now you also have a billy club to beat up who's ever broken in the house, or THEY have a billy club if you don't get to it first.Now, these thumb latches are OK, BUT they provide no opportunity for the Owner to enter the door from the outside. Which is a pain if you have to keep walking around the house to get back in. Pella does provide a Key lock mechanism if one orders it at the time you buy the door, but I didn't. Besides, what happens to Keys?... Also, KeyLocks can be picked! Well, I won't bore you with all the research and physical searches I've done to find something that will accomplish the tasks I wanted. IE; A Secure lock for the Inside, and Access from the OUTSIDE... Well this CODACE Mechanical lock has done the trick. It is very well built, sturdy, and fully adjustable. Changing from Left hand to Right hand is a simple manner of removing a threaded locking pin in the back, from one position to the other position. The setting of the push buttons to set you Combination is simple as well. Remember this device is for a Sliding Door, which demands a deadbolt latch that is unique since again this is a sliding door latch. Swing doors are easy, there are tons of options for them, but very limited options for Sliders. Well, again this device certainly appears to have all the components to meet the task. My only complaint is the screws that hold the Strike Plate, are minimal, only 3 threads? But that is easily solved with 2-1/5" inch screws. I wanted to mount the Strike Plate into the door frame stud. They provide excellent Templates to follow to drill the right size holes. Also Since my exiting door is 1.75 inches thick, and the way it marries to the Aluminum frame assembly for weather proofing, I needed to add a 9/16" cherry wood plate (see photo) so that I could mount the Strike Plate into Solid wood on the interior side of the Weather Stripping. First install took about 2 hours as I had to determine the position of the Strike Plate and the thickness of the wood plate to mount the inside half of the assembly. Otherwise it's a very straight forward dead bolt install. The second install took 25 minutes. Good Luck....PS my third door has a Key lock, which I intend to change very soon.

Great product for the intended job.

I really liked this lock. Clean look / design, simple, functional. But after about 4 months of use, the clear function doesn't work, which means you can't enter a code, which means you can't unlock it. Opened it up as per the instructions as if to change the combo, everything appears clean and normal.Super disappointed. Working for 4 months is obviously unacceptable. Unfortunately, I'm outside of my return window...now I have an expensive paper weight.Seller, do you have a fix??? Open to ideas.

Easy to install but when i set password is 2022 you just need press 20 the lock will be unlock it.and the botton 2 was already very loose now..
