Hello Kitty 50009 2GB MP3 Player and Faceplates

My daughter is a huge Hello Kitty fan, so when I saw this, it was kind of a no brainer. It arrived fast and well packaged, and it's the perfect size and quality for her. And with the extra faceplates, it's like having 3 mp3 players in one. She loves it!

I bought this for my two year old for her first plane trip. It didn't work well from the beginning. I put in a new battery and it wouldn't even turn on. I took the battery out and put it back in and then it did turn on, this pattern continued. When I got to the main menu, it wouldn't proceed from there to the record mode, if I pressed it too many times it would turn off and then wouldn't turn back on again! I gave up and realized it is a hunk of junk . I plan on sending it back.

It's made of cheap plastic and feels like something you'd get out of a capsule machine. The buttons are all hard and clicky, and it's difficult to get music onto it the way that you would like it to play. It is actually quite durable, as it's survived my wife's bottomless purse. I believe it's made to survive being handled by children, so if your kid keeps breaking their iPod nano, maybe this would work better.

The product has a very weak construction—plastic with click-buttons. The buttons are stiff and not at all like I thought they would be. I would rather buy my daughter a nice MP3 player with some Hello Kitty headphones if I had to do it all over again.All that being said, my daughter loves the thing, and does not even notice that it is a far lesser quality than my wife's $30 Phillips MP3 player. So, if you are buying for an 8 year old that loves Hello Kitty, then they will probably love it—as to how long it will last, we have yet to see.

I bought two of the Hello Kitty MP3 players just about two months ago. They work great. Easy to set up and very easy to use. My girls are 11 1/2 and 7. They like the easy to use design, the ability to change the faceplate. They are cute but not babyish. The earbuds that came with it are not that great. My girls use different ones.I like them because I only spent $29.00 for each!We download music from cd's, and Amazon as well as other sites. EASY!

I don't really know how this player has preformed, since my grandaughter lives in another country, but I know it made a great impression when she received it for a Christmas gift. She loved it, & it worked very well while we were there.

I got something completely different than what it shows. Was totally lied to and then told i didnt read the "small" print that it was something different. I say it's real good business to take a picture of exactly what your selling. I wasn't even Hello Kitty, it was bue with flowers and no extra hello kitty face plates as advertised. I went back and checked the site and the WAS NO small print. They did however agree to give me my money back, but that didn't help me when my daughter's birthday was in 2 days.
