Genuine Fred M-CUPS Red Matryoshka Dry Measuring Cups, Set of 6

I thought these nesting dolls would help me keep all of my measuring cups together without losing them. You know how it is. You go to the store, you buy the set on the ring, inevitably the ring gets lost and you end up missing measuring cups. You never find the missing cup again. Some say leprechauns use them for bath tubs… others speculate that the same trolls that steal your socks out of the dryer come for the measuring cups afterward. Nobody really knows for sure though.So… I bought these. They were great. My wife loves them as well. We both speak Russian and have an affinity for Russian culture after living overseas and gaining many Russian friends. We never did buy a matryoshka though because we could never find one we really liked. So this suited us on so many levels! I will say the cups are great. Accurate, easy to use, and you can keep track of them better. You stack them in a line and display them, or nest them inside and stick them in a drawer. Super easy.Unless…The two year old finds them.If you think leprechauns and trolls are bad… just wait until your two year old sees the bright, shiny red measuring cups. They’ll disappear pretty quickly after that. You’ll find tops and bottoms strewn about the house as if it’s some sort of miniature CSI serial killer crime scene. Instead of scooping rice or lentils, they’ll be used to dig in the garden, hold marbles… or used as robots in the bathtub.What’s that you say? Put the up higher? Ha! Two year olds are more crafty than they look! They will hunt these things down and take them. You’ll never see them coming. You’ll only know they’ve struck once the measuring dolls are GONE!But seriously, best measuring cups I have ever owned. I mean, honestly, who takes time out of their day and thinks about measuring cups? Gordon Ramsay perhaps… but not most of us right? So they have to be good. Awesome in fact. Got these for my wife initially as a joke because she always talks about how much she likes her nesting dolls. Turns out it was a perfect gift she uses all the time and adds a little decor to the kitchen as well. She did say it took a little getting used to the cups from traditional measuring cups.

I love these. I bought myself two sets in white and red and a set for my daughter too. They’re perfect, except the nesting style and engraved sizing make it a tiny tiny bit not perfectly easy to clean... not a complaint, just explaining why 4 stars. And better to hand wash so color doesn’t fade on the red!

I was raise in the McCarthy era and was told to keep my Russian heritage secret. I really never felt ashamed but scared to be found out as a little child. Now I don't care, I embrace my ethnic heritage. These measuring cups are fun to use and work as well as any plain regular cups. Since I keep my hands clean when cooking and baking I do not mind no handles. I do not want industrial cooking stuff I want fun and pretty. These are fun and pretty!

I love these measuring cups. They are made from very sturdy material. I was worriedthat the rounded shape would make them unstable but with a flattened bottom, they sitjust fine. They are easy to hold and I do not miss the little handle which most measuringcups have. They fit into each other easily and nest perfectly but I like to displaythem in a row on a shelf because with their cute faces and the bright red color they reallyattract attention.

I had the white version before we had a house fire and this is one of the things I wanted to get replaced. I like the look of the red better and think the amounts are easier to read. You can't beat the variety of volumes: 1, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 2/3, 1/3.

I bought these for my best-friend's birthday. She loves kitchen "things" and nesting dolls so these were perfect. They fit together fabulously and I tested them against my good set of measuring cups for accuracy (spot on). Best part about it is, the men in her life (husband and two teen boys) haven't figured out that they're anything more than plastic nesting dolls and they haven't disappeared. 5 million stars! I want a set for myself.

Based on the previous positive reviews, I purchased two sets - one as a Christmas present and one as a treat for myself. I was not disappointed. Upon receiving them, I immediately checked the color, and fortunately, they were both red. The size of the cup is in raised print on the inside bottom of each cup. I have a small lamp on my counter top and when I turn the inside of the cup toward the light, the measurement is very clear. The plastic seems strong enough, but if you plan on stomping on them, you may not consider it all that durable.
