High End Shoe Trees for About Half the Cost
Years ago I bought a pair of Johnston and Murphy shoe trees and they were by far my favorite ones. They had a solid brass knob for grip, easy slide into the shoe and was made of quality wood. I didn't think I would find another set that would match the quality for a price below $60 (what I paid for the J&M.But with these shoe trees, I have all of those features. Easy slide in and out of the shoe, not too tight of a spring so my shoes don't misshape (like they did with a pair of Men's Wearhouse shoe trees I purchased last year), quality cedar, and a nice brass knob to hold onto as I use the shoe trees. All for under $25.I've bought 2 pairs and I'm buying another 3 soon to replace my old Nordstrom shoe trees.Highly recommend.

Higher instep and twin tube design work well for me
I've tried a couple of shoe trees and this one is my favorite so far. I wear a 10.5 shoe, and bought it because the 10-11 size seemed like a good fit.My shoes typically get creases that run horizontally where the toes meet the foot, and another horizontal crease on top about an inch closer to the ankle. The high instep and convex upper curvature of these shoe trees help smooth those creases away, keeping the shoes looking spiffy. I also think the twin-tube design (rather than a simple "split down the middle" or a fixed-width toe) works better for preserving a very nice appearance. May not work for everyone, but I'm a fan. Buying more of these and returning some of the other ones.

Decent quality, run large
I wear a size 12 in most shoes, and as a result the X-Large size is what was recommended to me for these shoe trees. Compared to woodlore or allen edmonds shoe trees, these run a little bit large. They've been decent for use in boots, but are too large to be effectively used in dress shoes or loafers. Adjustment screws feel very rough and are not easy to adjust. The brass (brass colored?) knobs on all of the shoe trees were loose and feel like they will tear out of the cedar if you attempt to tighten them. The dual tube design is nice, particularly with the additional spring tension and even force distribution it provides, but was not well executed in this design.More than likely, I would not purchase these items again.

Amazing shoe trees
I was debating between several brands and saw these and had the sliding foot piece to provide better support to the shoe. Well I'm not sure if that really matters, this was the only type that had that feature for a reasonable price.Regarding sizing, I strongly suggest ignoring the shoe sizes they go by. Instead, physically measure the length of your shoes and order appropriately size based on that (they have the actual length/width sizes listed on the information).I knocked off one star because the smell seems chemicalish, but not sure if there truth to that. Overall would highly recommend and buy again!

Best tree shoes I've ever owned
This is without a doubt the best pair of tree shoes I've ever owned. My feet are slightly wider than normal. Not quite as wide that I need the W size, but most "normal" shoes feel a bit snug at first. Good leather shoes will give some space over time, but this is done through the hard work (and pain) of your feet. These adjustable tree shoes really help accelerating that process and keeping your shoes looking young and without wrinkles and creases. The expandable front allows you to press it together and slide it comfortably into most shoes. Once in, the springs start to do their job carefully expanding outwards and opening up space in the front of the shoe. Not only only that, because the front is wider than most average tree shoes, they stretch out nicely the "wrinkles" on your shoes. The fact that these come in specific sizes, without increasing the price significatnly, it's a huge advantege as it ensures the right fit for each shoe. Within 2 days of buying the first pair I ordered two more. Soon I'll order a fourth pair and I plan on using these daily in all my favorite shoes.

there is no instructions
It seems to be what they claim, but there is no instructions. No time that it would take to go from a size 10 to and 11. I know each shoe will be different but some idea would help. For this reason I give them only 3 stars ***.

Well Made But Sizing Is Really Off
The quality is good- particularly for the price, so no complaints in that regard. The issue is the sizing. I listened to the reviews that made it clear these are larger than the labeled size. I wear a men's size 10 and ordered the size 8-9 model. Unfortunately, even that size will not fit in the shoes (actually chukka style boots) in which I intended to use them. They slip in fine and slide up into the toe of the boot, but they will not seat properly into the heel. They are just a bit too long. I guess that means I need the size 6-7 model for a pair of size US 10-D boots. Will they fit properly? Or will they be just a little too small to provide the proper tension? I'll just have to roll the dice and see. The skewed sizing is really unfortunate for a well made and otherwise very good shoe tree. That is why I'm deducting one star. So take the size issue into account if you decide to invest in a pair!

Fits/works as expected.
the sizes they show are accurate for the 8 to 9. i bought them for a pair of dress boots size 9 and they work no problems. i would definitely order more of these if i needed. they have a nice cedar smell you will definitely notice. there is nothing wrong with them except if you have a narrow toe cap they wont fill that in. this is why not a prefect 5 stara. maybe if you stuff a rag in the cap area first that would work. they should make a cedar insert for the toe area. other than that, perfect.
