Great fit and very soft the pockets work well as long as you don't have anything too bulky in them one of them started to tear on me but besides that this has been an amazing purchase for me work it especially if you live in a dorm.

I bought a Large "fish scale black" and then an XL "black". The Large size is not big enough to wrap around a 250lb 5'9" individual with adequate overlap. The XL is big enough but the sleeves are slightly over-long (though acceptable). I will give the Large one to someone else.The "fish scale" fabric is not as soft as regular fabric, but both fabrics are acceptably soft and comfortable. The "black" with its different-color lining is darn near luxurious. These should be great during cold weather.I had not had either long enough to speak to post-washing fit, comfort, or longevity. But both the ones I bought are far above what I have had in the past.

Waited a few weeks of wearing the robe to write a review beyond first impressions. I’m not one to buy clothing online, but couldn’t find anything satisfactory in a brick and mortar store. Nothing came below my knees. So despite my hesitation, but relying on the vast great reviews, I ordered this product. The black robe to be exact. I wanted a robe, that lengthwise, went somewhere below my knees and above my ankles. I also wanted something soft, warm, comfortable fitting, and easy to care for, yet durable. My main use was twofold; to keep me warm enough in the few minutes it took to take my dogs outside to do their business in the middle of winter at 3am at 25-50° in the mountains I live in; and to keep me warm in the cold mornings inside my house. I’m 5’11” and around 167 lbs. and in my later middle age years. The robe met annd surpassed all my expectations and lived up to the hype in the reviews. I also took the advice of other reviewers and wash my robe on delicate cycle, using a mild laundry soap (not harsh detergent), then use the lowest delicate heat cycle. Also it’s apparently important, if you are hanging your robe on a hook, to use the built-in inside collar loop to hang your robe from, and not hang it by the hood itself (if you want to reduce possible separation of hood from rest of robe). It has held up great under a few washings. I couldn’t be happier with the product and highly recommend. Two side effects I’ve experienced while wearing the robe is the euphoria of feeling like Obi-Wan Kenob from Star Wars; and secondly unexpectedly scaring my little dogs when I lifted the hood over my head, my one and only time. However, I soon discovered I am able to use the hood as a mini adjustable pillow on my recliner when relaxing backwards. In summary, it’s like wearing a customized cozy blanket wrapping your body in all the right places, swaddling you in complete warmth and comfort.

This robe is exactly what I wanted. It is long, plush, and comfortable. It is perfect in winter or chilly weather and helps me get out of my warm bed on cold mornings. This robe is so warm that I find myself getting too hot sometimes, which is a great problem to have. This robe is a must-have and makes shower and bath time soooo much nicer.
