Electric Puffer Fuzz Effects Guitar Pedal with Alumium Alloy Housing True Bypass CP-11

I added a variac circuit to this and run a bass boost behind it. Sounds pretty good. On it's own, it's a decent fuzz at a low cost.

This is my second time trying this pedal. I was dissatisfied with the first one, and gave it to a kid I know that is just starting to play. The seller discovered my dissatisfaction and contacted me. The seller sent me another one at virtually no cost to me to retry the product. The second one I received is infinantly better than the previous one. Physically it appears to be very sturdy and well made. It is a metal box with a fairly quiet clicking button. The dials all turn smoothly with large plastic knobs. The sound is a crunchy 90's tone (think "Glycerine" tone) that is quite pleasing. When the fuzz is turned all of the way up you can almost get to that Black Keys tone. I think with the proper guitar and amp combination you could get there. Is this a vintage boutique fuzz pedal that would be your first choice in the studio? No, but when you think of it in the context of price point it is beyond a bargain. Take a chance, buy this pedal. If you don't like it Giho (the seller) has excellent customer service and will likely work with you to make sure you are pleased.

This fuzz pedal sounded decent (not great even for the price), but crapped out after a couple months of incredibly light use. Trouble seemed to come from the volume knob. It just sounded like a dusty pot at first, but eventually was just shorting out randomly.
