This is a good way to be able to send video signal without needing to plug in. I wanted something that allowed me to cast my phone screen to the television without needing to plug in my samsung phone. One thing to note is that this does not cast DeX for samsung. It will only cast the samsung android screen. That being said, it does come with a HDMI dongle that is a bit thicker than a chromecast. You can use this to plug in any HDMI capable device in order to stream to the HDMI receiver. This works great for me and my laptop when I want to sit a bit further away. The HDMI dongle is not very heavy but I would still have it on top of something and not hanging. It is already paired so it does not require any additional installation. The phone on the other hand does require the application which is pretty easy to setup. I did not really notice any lag time between what is shown on the screen and what is casted. The same goes for the phone. When I am watching a video, I do not have any issues with sound and picture syncing which is where my concern was with this type of casting. When using this with a game system, you may notice a few lags here and there but honestly not much. The HDMI receiver is about the same size as most standard routers. It does come with two antennas as well for better signal quality. The range for me was about 10 meters before it started to have some signal issues. The receiver does require external power so be aware of that. It does not run hot or anything but keep it out in the open to reduce amount of interference. Also do not put this too close to your wireless router which can cause signal issues. The dongle is again about the same size as a chromecast but be aware this does require external power as well to use. It uses a type c port to power so you can actually plug this into your USB port if you wanted on your laptop or gaming console. It had enough power to power the device. For the best result, I would just recommend wall if at all possible. This device is good for keeping cables from being run across the room. I no longer have to worry about needing to plug my device in close by and just plug it in from my couch. The signal and video quality is very strong. There was also little to no issues with the sound quality and syncing. This device so far has worked with most televisions from what I can tell. Overall this a great way to reduce the need for cable running from your television to your couch. It also allows you to mirror your phone to the screen making it easier to view photos and videos on your television. The picture quality is good and no issues. It is also very straight forward to setup which is great. The sleek design and color makes it easy to blend in with your decorum and such.

Surprisingly, very little latency. Tested between rooms on two different floors. Signal seems solid!The only criticism I have is that the unit doesn't come with any USB wall adaptors, and you'll need two of them.We're using this in a karaoke bar!
